Lovely Site

Can't take pets in anywhere on site, showe facilities are great they just like a shelf or extra hook to hang belongings whilst in there, also no sink to clean teeth

Big pitch for the tent and good location , nice facilities and clean after cleaning hours, always hot water 🚿 but some users had really bad manners so sometimes we can’t use toilets because people especially children did big mess🫣and noise.

Facilities are nice and clean but lack of space for clothes and things in the shower. Really annoyed us noisy, dirty neighbours who were doing a lot of mess using the toilets, there was no one who keep an eye on the disturbance🙁 we feel sorry for the lady who kept order in the toilets and baths

Great trip, not much to do out side of the park.

Nice grounds and local town was nice to visit.
Staff did respond to noise complaints.
Staff tried their best to keep the toilets clean (despite how poorly some guest left the facilities).
Swimming pool dated (modern changing rooms though) but fine, pool water is warm, lifeguards are very proactive.

Pitches are smaller than expected and not well spaced out. Despite website saying no pup tents and not gazebos, there were loads on site and no one told to removed them. Loud music played late at night past 11pm! Only two washing up sinks, for a large site.
Food on site was awful, worst battered sausage I have ever eaten.
Food is very over priced and shop onsite is very expensive.
Location is far from any of the main places to visit. Most places are at least an hours drive away.

Absolutely loved our camping weekend at solway holiday park, There was 11 of us all together and they were very accomending. Manged to pitch our tents together, sat us all down in the pub at last minute. Staff couldn't be more helpful they always spoke to the children as well. Evening entertainment was brilliant. Lots to do on the site. Indoor pool was lovely and warm. Will definitely be back for a longer stay next time so we can get more exploring done.

Location was good, you could walk on the prom which was nice and flat and over looked the beach. The park was nice had entertainment for families on evening ect, small supermarket, restaurant and fish shop, pizza takeaway, indoor pool

Touring part good few mins walk from complex ect so not so good for those with mobility issues, also the children's play park a good walk from touring area. There was only 2 sinks at washup area,

The site had lots of amenities, the fish shop was reasonably priced and quite tasty. Loved the fact that the kids could use the pool each day (but it was quite booked up as you can only book for the next day after 3pm. Shower and toilet blocks were reasonably clean (we were there mid august and the site was full so the cleaners had their work cut out for them. The guy who booked us in was really helpful, even lending us a hook up cable when ours didn't quite reach. During the day we noticed him driving round the site checking on everyone and keeping things in order. Bins were emptied frequently and everything about the actual site was amazing, we looked to extend our stay and even looked at booking for next year.

The reason I've marked the site so low and why we have decided not to return to this site is due to the night time noise. For the first couple of nights the noise wasn't too bad and everyone seemed to be in their tents/campers by about 10pm and the noise was kept at a minimal level. On the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights the noise was just ridiculous, mainly from adults drinking and playing music loudly. On the sunday night it sounded like a club was playing music right in the middle of the site until 5am and 2 camper vans behind us were out drinking and playing loud music until 4am. I did call the number to report the noise (I was alone with my kids and they were 4 adults drinking so wanted to avoid confrontation) and security said they would send someone out but this never happened.

I understand that everyone was on holiday having a good time but its not cool when its at the expense of others who have to be up early with kids the next day and have a long drive home. We were exhausted. I've never had a problem with noise, I can usually sleep through it or security will come round and sort issues if noise goes on past 12/1ish but this site just didn't really seem to care.

I ended up leaving a day early because we just couldn't face another sleepless night.
