Unbeliebt: We ended up been later than expected, found our pitch which compared to a lot of them was very run down, was very boggy and the there was an overflowing drain, next to us, The site was described as family park but nothing for kids to do no park no were that we found for them to play ball games so unless they ran round there was very little for them to do. The shop was ok but went for some bread and didn’t have any. (Bad management by us) but maybe something to look at adding. I rely on internet for my work and was available at a small charge. However I would not waste your money as I managed to log on once for about 15 minutes and never managed to get back on it during my stay there (very dissapointed In that especially when Your changed extra for it.

We're sorry you felt the site was over crowded but you are correct, we are only a small site and many people enjoy the cosy and compact feel, knowing that wherever they pitch, they're not going to be too far away from friends/family. However, i do think there is adequate space between the pitches so nobody is on top of one another.

Beautiful scenery near the lake and a lovely dog walk past the railway and yacht club. Lovely new shower and toilet block. Showers were warm. Plenty of space in shower cubicle and additional cubicles with sinks. Just a shame some visitors didn’t clean up after themselves as some areas became messy throughout the day. Lovely site with some landscaped pitches. - hard standing and grass. Option for a fire pit which is rare so lovely addition. Wood available in shop.
Unbeliebt: Bins became very overloaded and a bit smelly before collection. The main road noise - sounded scary at times as sited close to road. Pitch wasn’t flat (trees and roots) and had to face opposite direction due to fencing and bushes (not enough room for guy lines from awning).

We try and keep on top of the bin situation, litterally!! as we are very often in the bins squishing them down to accommodate the overflow, we seem to be experiencing a higher volume of rubbish than usual this year. So glad that you enjoyed our shower block and the pretty walks we have in the area. Hope to see you again in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're glad you liked the amenity block and appreciated how hard we work to keep this in tip-top condition!
We agree that your pitch has not yet been upgraded like some of the others on site but this is a working progress and we cannot do everything at once. We are only closed for 3 months a year and have to choose which areas of the park will be improved each year. Had we been made aware of the issues you were having at the time of your stay, we may have been able to help rectify them. Too often people wait until they have left to share their niggles with us and this gives us no chance to fix them there and then which may have led to a different outlook from yourselves in the long run.
We describe the site as a family-run park, not a family site, although we of course welcome families. Although there is no play area on site, there is so much to do in the surrounding areas that this isn't usually a problem - the lake for various water activities, walking, bike rides, attractions - all of which we can advise on at Reception.
Wi-Fi - Yes this isn't the best and is something we have discussed at length as a team. Unfortunately at present, the system we have in place is one we are stuck with and we are honest with guests that it isn't great...
The local shops are only a 15minute walk away, and while we do strive to stock all you may need, we cannot stock everything!
