Shower gel/shampoo and conditioner in the showers was a nice bonus. Nice size as well especially if you have kids.Unbeliebt: We had pitch 75 (electric grass tent) and the ground was horrendous to pitch. I honestly didn’t think I’d even be able to pitch it at first. Had to buy some heavy duty pegs and even some of those bent.
The toilets/shower facilities are quite new but once or twice there was no toilet roll and could maybe do with a more regular check for cleanliness.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and so glad that you enjoyed our facilities. We are a very small team trying to run a very busy site and sometimes find it really hard to keep on top of things but would hope that customers would inform us if there was any issues within the shower block. As for the ground, as good as we are here we have no control over the weather and there didn't seem to be any problems with the other pitches either side to pitch 75 and you are right in what you say it always pays to have decent tent pegs when camping! We do have a wood-fired pizza van that comes once a week throughout the Summer holidays, sorry you missed this. There are also lots of lovely places to eat in Bala too that we are happy to recommend to guests that need some dining inspiration!

Unbeliebt: Only downside was the noise, there doesn’t seem to be a quiet time in place or checked as the first night it was really noisy with bigger group sizes going into the night and one group had very loud music on from midnight until around 2am!

With regards to the noise, there is a quiet time (10:30pm) - if there was a problem you should have called the Park Warden and she would have come out and addressed the situation straight away. It is hard for us to fix an issue afterwards, especially if we are not made aware of it. The Park Warden does a last check around 10-11pm but also works full time during the day so can't be out 24hours a day unfortunately!
We hope to welcome you back to Pen Y Bont in the future!
