Lovely open site with plenty of space to pitch up and have great time. The owner Dave, as stated by other reviewers is ace, polite, friendly and generous, giving away firewood at no extra charger and even some local strawberries 🍓as well.

The facilities were clean, so no competes for me.

Such a lovely camp site. Quiet, plenty of camping spaces, owner bought over fire wood and checked up in everyone in the morning. 10/10 camping experience from a female solo traveller, will 100% be back!

We've been to a few campsites since we had kids and this has been our favourite by far. Beautiful peaceful location, simple but well managed facilities and a genuinely friendly and helpful owner who makes everyone feel welcome. The firepits are great and the wood provided made it very easy to get a proper fire going. We were lucky enough to get clear skies so we're treated to a great view of the night sky. Will definitely be back!

Lovely peaceful site, can just turn up and pitch anywhere on the large flat pitches complete with fire pits, can arrive and depart at any time so no pressure, clean site with Toilets, showers and washing up facilities, free firewood for firepits daily and Strawberries on the weekend! farmer Dave is extra friendly and loves a chat! And all that at a really cheap price too!

Really lovely campsite. Nice and flat and open so no trouble finding a good pitch. Wasn't too busy when we went but would imagine it still to be nicely spaced when it is. Great location, quiet and peaceful. Amazing place to see the stars at night with little light pollution. Amenities also good. Fire pits were brilliant to have at each pitch. Most of all was the lovely owner who comes around with firewood and strawberries in the evening. So nice to have such a friendly person to make you feel welcome. Makes all the difference to a stay. This is a beautiful part of the world and a perfect campsite to enjoy it from. Highly recommended.

Most friendly camp site we've been too the farmer came over and introduced him self from the moment he spotted our arrival, gave us fire wood and a fire pit and the next day came back to a punit of fresh strawberrys

Absolute fantastic site, plenty of water taps, loads of toilets and shower and the ester on the shower was nice and warm

Very little light pollution so the sky at night was fantastic and could see the milkyway.

And extremely dog friendly, our border collie got big fuss from the farmer,

Phone signal not brilliant but not the sites fault,

The site was well kept and in a beautiful location. It was very spacious and very easy access to Alfriston.

This is why I gave it a 2 star rating. On both nights of my stay a loud diesel engine (generator?) started up in the early hours (01:30 & 03:50) and ran for about 90 mins. It was very instrusive and spoiled what would have been a very pleasant stay.

This site was a perfectly chilled out campsite. Facilities were fine and farmer Dave was fab and checked on everyone each night. The farmer also brought around strawberries and each evening camp fire which was such a lovely chilled out vibe. Will definitely be back again!
