Absolutely cannot rate this place highly enough. Hayley was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She even helped us when we ran low on Firelighters and wood!

Not a dislike but more to make young families aware. It's pretty remote and not ideal for young families who like activities whilst camping. It's great for walking and exploring the moors, but nearest town of Okehampton was a good 15 minutes drive. Pub isn't walking distance with children. We absolutely loved it though with an 11,9 & 4 year old.

loved the campsite it was so peaceful and full of nature all around (horses/sheep ect) and loads of walks. had a lovely hostess called hayley who was super sweet and helpful and made sure if we needed anything we could let her know!

toilets didn’t look the cleanest but other than that i didn’t dislike anything.

The field was exactly as it says ' a field '. It had a shower and toilets and also recycling bins. The other thing that was good was the storage bin which contained 5 litre bottled water and a first aid kit and some other smaller things, if you decided to take an item from the bin then you had to leave something else that would be useful to someone else. This was a brilliant idea and a brilliant way of recycling goods ie firewood. There are lots of streams and walk nearby which where lovely.

The site itself was unmanned and somewhat hard to find. The field itself was all hill and there was no flat land, so when going to sleep it made a few of are party feel a little sick sleeping on a slant. Also I think it was described a quiet place and it was that but maybe a bit too quiet as on the second day there was only are family and one other family there so went actually didnt spend are second night and went home early.

Remote, peaceful and quiet location. Brilliant basic facilities, hosts were friendly and happy to give advice on local points of interest. Checked in the evening we arrived and always made sure the facilities were clean and the site tidy. Perfect location for us to relax with the kids, build dens, site by a fire, hike and swim, plenty of geocaches nearby too. The perfect stay! Thanks for all you did Hayley.

I honestly loved everything about this campsite. The toilets were cleaned twice a day to the highest standard. Hayley is the most friendly of hosts, made herself present and told us of all the local goings on during our stay, every time she came onto the site she made a point to stop and say hello to everyone. The field was in too condition so we were able to be bare foot the whole time with no worries of danger. The wild swimming spot was AMAZING. I would recommend this campsite to all of my friends who were thinking of camping at Dartmoor.

The signal for 4G was pretty good not that you need to use your phone.

The views of the stars at night was next level and I recommend anyone who stays to stay up and look at the night sky.

A simple, relaxed and clean pop up campsite in a very tranquil setting.

Perfect site for us. On the edge of the Moor, plenty of space. Firewood provided. The toilets were the cleanest Porto loos I have ever seen and the shower was great. Would definitely come again. Hayley was really helpful and responded to messages immediately
