It's a good basic no frills campsite. Has everything you need, and lots of space to pitch. It was quiet which is what we wanted with a special needs kiddo. I didn't use the shower but the kids said it was ok. Portaloos generally ok but when we arrived on the Sunday they were pretty full and fragrant, however this resolved after they got emptied on the Monday.

Toilets - I know the site is limited by planning etc. not sure what the solution is, maybe an upgraded model of portaloos. TBF it was only the one day that they were particularly unpleasant.

Beautiful scenery, quiet site, owner was lovely and so very helpful. We’ve booked to go again

Steep field, found a pitch that was relatively flat at bottom of field near boggy ground, the generator someone had running might have been annoying, then both tent poles broke and i took it as a sign to leave, on the way out someone was pooping in the bushes.

Bottled water was provided and there was one electric shower to use thanks very much

A lovely quiet field. Freedom to have a camp fire. Very clean portaloo and hot, clean shower. Hayley could not have been more kind or helpful. A very pleasant stay! Thank you!

Lovely company, beautiful views, amazing walks. There is also a natural water pool next to it. Took us about 15 mins or so walk and it was just out of this world my family loved it. Toliets where clean.

Toliets where portuterloos i would rather have compost toliets.
When driving into the field you pick and space I would rather have a pitch. Grass was a little long.

Simplicity and location right next to the moors and great walking.

Lack of drinking water tap. Bottles of water provided but not ideal.

Simple no frills campsite with plenty of space. Perfect for us as we can walk straight onto the moor and we can have a fire in the evening to relax after a days hiking. Fresh eggs and fire wood for sale. Hayley really helpful and keeps it all stocked cleans the port o loos twice a day so they are kept clean and plenty of loo roll and hand sanitiser

Nothing. Works for us. Occasionally people didn't clean the toilet after themselves which is a bit annoying but they were cleaned twice a day by the owners and not much you can do about other people
