Beautiful views, relaxed atmosphere & campfires allowed.

Toilets are fine but the first night there was no hot water.

Better than wild camping, basic washing up facilities and toilets and showers. Beautiful location.

For some people it may be a bit slopey, but it is in the Peak District,clue is in the title.
1 shower is not much when the camp site is busy at weekends but it wasn't a problem .

Nice location. Plenty of walks not far. Loads of space and pitches to choose from. Toilets well looked after and clean and tidy. 1 plug socket available if need electric. Dog friendly and no livestock around the pitches which was hreat for my dog. Back to basics. Value for money.

Large biker party first night were very noisy til just before 3am. Quite noisy throughout the night as well as its on the flight path to the airport so lots of plane noise. High up so can be slightly windy.

Very nice peaceful site, great scenery and easy to find. I was visiting for Buxton Parkrun on Saturday morning so this site was ideal as only 10 minutes drive. I also visited Thornbridge Brewery tap, which is great and again only a short drive away

Quiet, peaceful and amazing views! A really good sunset most evenings from the pitch!

Able to pick your own pitch. Not many flat pitches as site on a hill but we got lucky and campsite was fairly quiet for our duration so managed to pitch at the top of the field. Note - the campsite can be very windy/cold so would recommend bringing layers

Annie, the owner, was great. Helped us to jump start our car when the battery was flat.

Toilets were clean most of the time we used them. Did have a few scares with birds flying in and out of the toilet block but we saw the funny side.

Only one shower - usually this wouldn’t be an issue as most campers are considerate of others. However, one couple used the shower (together) for over an hour which was very frustrating.

Couldn’t get hold of owners at first - rang phone number which stated on board but no answer multiple times. Annie came round the following morning for payment though!

Was quite clear that people would arrive very late in the evening and leave early in the morning to avoid paying for the campsite - overheard x 2 conversations about campers doing this which is wrong!

Campsite security - on our last night we were the only tents in the field. Whilst sat enjoying the sunset, multiple hill walkers came and used the facilities - found this very odd and would have been quite uncomfortable had I been solo travelling

Lovely open site, back to basics feel but good toilets and shower.
