A Tent stay review:
A basic, but well looked after site for simple needs. Level pitches and grass well draining (2/3 nights rained) There was plenty of room for our stay, we arrived with friends who had a camper, and were able to pitch across from them. Be sure to bring a long enough electric hook up, or an extension just incase others decide to take up nearly two pitches. There isn’t any specific pitch space.
I didn't catch the name of the guy who was looking after the site while we stayed (drove a silver van) but he was amazing! He was polite and informative, and on hand if we had any questions; and lent us an 5m extension for our 3 night stay.
Amenities are basic and clean, washing machines should you wish to use them, showers (around 6 between the two blocks), toilets, and a washing up area. All were cleaned and topped up with toilet paper daily.
I didn’t book this site out of choice our friends did, I did worry about some of the reviews I’d seen. We are a family of 2 adults, 2 children 5, 13 and we all felt happy and safe on the site despite it being on a roadway between Clarach and Aberystwyth.
if you are wanting a clean really relaxed site to pitch your tent and go exploring around wales (this is the perfect distance from Aber & clarach) Then come back for a BBQ, kids can play on the small park, have a lovely hot shower in the morning and be off out again.. then this is a perfect budget friendly site. If you are wanting an all frills, modern site to stay then look elsewhere.
