Loved this site, amazing views, location great. Showers were fab not those that you have to keep pressing the button every 2seconds. Bit slopey where we pitched and got stuck in some mud in my car but the owners were quick to come assist thank you. Visited keswick and crummock water and hiked Blencathra. Would definitely go back here.

I really loved the chilled attitude to it all. Basically an awkward field that's a bit of a hill but pick a spot and pitch.
Just a mum and daughter. Nothing for children to do (other than play with the owners very tolerant Collie who my 10 Yr old loved). But so long as you're equipped for rainy day your sorted. Everyone was really friendly too. Facilities were as clean as could be for the volume of females using 2 toilets and 2 showers. Just need to be a reasonable and rational human.

How small the showers were so awkward to get changed/dressed in.
Having my 10 year old there and having to explain the stench of weed wasn't the best. Also a great way to spoil the good fresh air. Felt safe though people way of winding down, I get that.

Fantastic location. Basic facilities but that is what I expected.

Very aggressive dog that I presume belonged to the owner. A sign said the dog would bark but was friendly but it certainly was not friendly to me and bit my trouser leg (fortunately not my leg). I did not see the owner or any other member of staff for the duration of my 2 day stay otherwise I would have complained directly. If any member of your party is nervous around dogs you might wish to avoid this site.

Description on site is 'some pitches are sloped' - in reality most of the campsite is
5 minute walk up the hill to facilities if on the bottom field

Very relaxed, no big signs everywhere with rules and terms and condition and other bull. Just turn up and pitch you tent and chill out. Toilets were clean and well stocked. Lovely location, cracking 360 degree views.

Beautiful views. Plenty of space. Close to local amenities and the main road through Cumbria so it was easy to access all of Cumbria. Not too busy.

A really friendly site with clean facilities. It's really simple site with the most glorious views and so close to Keswick.

Only got back yesterday and already planning my next stay.

Having to come home, I wish I'd booked a longer stay.

- Campsite atmosphere (Y)
- Customer service
- Ability to buy logs and campfire equipment (Rented).

Camping is camping, there is not a lot you can dislike.

One of the guys came down with a repair kit to help us mend our broken sleeping mat the staff where so friendly! If it wasn't for the terrible weather we would have had an amazing time! But unfortunately lots of wind and rain
