1. Good location -was really close to Blencathra and not too far to drive into Keswick town.

2. Showers and toilets were clean. Good washing up facilities and actually provided soap and toilet roll which was handy.

3. Had a cool little barn to rest in with a sofa.

4. Not too busy or overcrowded and people generally kept themselves to themselves.

5. Lovely, scenic views

6. It was nice that the owners left a note on the whiteboard in the barn with their contact details incase of any issues.

7. Really cheap to stay there, plus I booked a couple of extra nights last minuet and it cost next to nothing.

1. I pitched my tent further up the field, which was on a bit of an incline as was advised because it had been raining, and one day when it had rained particulatly bad, I couldn't get my car up the hill to where my tent was because the field was so waterlogged so parked it down the bottom. Luckily the next day I could get up there in the car after it had dried out a bit.

2. Could be a bit noisy sometimes as it was close to a main road and also, there were a group of people on the last night being a bit noisy but nothing too bad, plus I brought earplugs with me so it didn't bother me too much.

Good location for a campsite, with nice facilities. Very cheap for a stay in the Lakes.

Few toilets/showers for the number of people staying (although this was a bank holiday weekend, and queues weren't too bad).

Available pitches were mostly sloped, but not too badly.

Basic campsite, mostly sloping a bit more than is comfortable, lower field flat but flooded thanks to the shocking weather! Open site, which in windy conditions felt a bit exposed. Great views, very handy for walks to Blencathra. Some road noise from the A66

Pitches near the facilities weren’t flat so had to camp further away at the bottom of the hill. Very loud campers went on past 12am

Location was ideal for us, walk straight out of the campsite straight on to the wainwrights. Towns easily accessible. This campsite was ideal for what we wanted on this trip.

Toilet block. Washing dishes behind a partition wall where people were going through their morning routine was questionable.. if the campsite was busier then the shower/sink/toilet to people ratio would not work. They were however clean and basic as described so it was no shock to us what we got.

Really nice place great views it was only spoilt by the weather,lots of space so your not stuck next to anyone,going back next year,the farmers wife is really friendly. Excellent.

The Pitch was where ever you want, don’t spoil it for others and away you go, picked an excellent spot on the hill just down from toilets and washrooms,
Set up tents, rang number off site and boom, new logs deliver. 15 minute drive into Keswick for supplies and we were set, campsite is vast and no noise from even parties and lads playing football in bottom field could disturb us. The washrooms were spotless and hot water was great in the showers. Elec points for charging phones for kids and running taps for cold water at all times.
Easy payment on website and left alone for the rest of the visit.

Not disliked but the showers were only two so if busy the queue got quite big, possible investing in another shower block at bottom of site would be a bonus.

Stayed here a few times, nice quiet site, great hot showers with no tokens or coins needed.
Indoor washing up area, clean and tidy facilities.
Nicely priced too.
Location is great for doing Blencathra, as you can walk to the start point from the camp

Best campsite so far. 3 large fields, access to water, toilets and showers. 10 minutes away from Keswick, 1 mile away from pubs. But the best thing at Low Hollows is stress free owner's approach. We could asked about anything and we were always helped, no problem with reservations, cancelling etc. Also there was absolutely no problem with sitting by the fire very late in the night (1am-2am) and talking. We had too many situations before at different campsites where we were silenced after 10pm and put to bed like small children. We were even asked to leave once because were talking and laughing with friends - we havent's seen for 8 months - till midnight. Here you can enjoy the camping fully.

In the morning and in the late afternoon there are some queues to the toilets.
