Great clean and peaceful campsite. We had a lovely pitch down by the river, very pretty with all the wildflowers, where the children had plenty of room to play. The facilities were a good standard and were kept very clean. Only 5 minutes walk into the lovely village of Caldbeck with a great pub, shop and cafe.

Proximity to the sewage treatment works was the only downside.

This is a lovely little campsite! There are some small pitches and some larger, but they are all lovely flat pitches. The river was quite fast flowing whilst we were there, and the noise might bother some, but I really enjoyed it. We had the river at one side and a field of cute lambs on the other. The Cumbrian Way path runs right through the campsite, and being a bank holiday weekend there were a few walkers passing through, but all were quiet and respectful.
The toilets and showers were lovely and clean, no issues with them at all.
The location is excellent, perfect for walks, and just a stroll away from a village shop, cafe, and a pub which serves absolutely amazing food.
We wanted a relaxing long weekend away, and we certainly got it! We will definitely return.

Beautiful pitch all to ourselves by the river. Also loved the burner bin and bench available to us! Showers and toilet blocks were very nice and sanitary!

The set up of the bell tent was perfect.
All amenities, toilet, sink and kitchenette in belltent section, ideal. Showers only a few minutes walk. Great vibes, great hosts.

Lovely view, it's on the riverside. It's also quiete and the facilities are spotless. Showers are above the standard for a campsite. Staff are amazing!

Beautiful scenery, lovely riverside pitches (white noise for sleeping), BBQ pits/bins on site, good location, nice village.

Loved watching the lambs jump around and the river was gorgeous.

Showers are very hot and temperature cannot be turned down nor angle adjusted, making for uncomfortable hair washing. Washing up room/shack was grubby and tap needs fixing.

Staff were pleasant enough but like, nobody introduced themselves to us at all. I had a pleasant stay but did not catch a single person's name, a bit strange.

Everything! Location was beautiful. Facilities were immaculate. Owners were friendly and accommodating and couldn't do more for you. Will definitely visit again. One of the best places we have stayed so far.l, would highly recommend.

Lovely location - right next to a river surrounded by fields. The local village has a great pub (try the steak pie). Nice big pitches, great showers, friendly owners who were happy to sort out wood for the fire pit

Would be helpful to have a sign next to the house where you pull up for info. Fire pits need updating
