The location is great if you fancy a walk into the town centre but do bear in mind the 199 steps, up and down or a steep slope to get there. The view is beautful. Everyone seemed very respectful during our short stay.

Fantastic location overlooking the sea and next to the Abbey. Great to watch both the sunset and sunrise.
Staff were regularly refilling the toilet rolls. Coastpath is right next to the field, so great for walkers. Town is down the steps.

Location of the site was excellent,just a short walk into whitb down the abbey steps,nice and peaceful

The only negative was the mens toilets were disgusting,it takes nothing for people to clean up after themselves,feel sorry for who had to clean them

Fantastic views , large pitches . 10 minute walk down steps into Whitby . As clearly stated , the site is basic . Fine for us as in motorhome . No showers, basic (very basic portaloo). There is a chemical loo disposal point .

Two things lacking but easily sorted . More bins please on far field & another water tap . We will return .

Whitby Abbey right opposite the site just a short distance away. Whitby Brewery next door, short walk to the centre of the town.

We really enjoyed our first camping trip as a couple with 2 dogs. It was right by the sea and plenty of things to do around.

We have visited many times as this is a great location with sea views and a short walk into the centre of Whitby.

Not enough facilities for the number of units on the site. We were told there were over 400 that weekend and only 2 ladies toilets at one end and 2 at the other. This is not a problem if you have your own facilities on board but there were a lot of units that did not. Also, the only access to drinking water was obscured as someone had decided to pitch their tent directly in front so there was no access for us to fill up directly into the van.
