Situated right next to Whitby Abbey and Abbey brewery. What more can you ask for? Large field which enables is to camp anywhere we found suitable. Toilets are clean and stocked with towels and roll. Soap is also provided. Kitchen washing up area provided also. Staff are extremely friendly too.
We stayed the weekend before may bank holiday (Goth Weekend) and weather was fair. It was colder at night so had to wrap up warm and made sure we had plenty of blankets. We really enjoyed our time. We had a 3 year old in tow, and he had a brilliant time playing with the children in the tent nearby.

We then came back the weekend after (bank holiday), but due to high winds, our tent was obliterated. This was by no fault of the campsite and we found highly entertaining in all honestly. Yes, we probably couldn't afford to lose the tent, but made for a life experience. I would recommend not camping there if winds are high. If you have a van or camper, this is an entirely different story. Would recommend this pop up campsite regardless.

Nothing to dislike really. Some pub goers on goth weekend were louder at 1am, but what do you expect during a weekend where lots of people are revelling.

The site is great such a big plot. All up & comfy. Lots of space no close neighbors .
We was not far from toilet block which every time we used was clean & well stocked. People seem very respectful of others which I was impressed with.
Views were to do for as was walks. 5 minute walk to the famous 199 steps which takes you into Whitby town. Actually got the open top bus back to site on one day.
The Whitby Brewery bar is at top of stops just next to the site & it has live bands a proper pizza oven & lovely bar area. Outdoor seating area lots of tables & chairs. Nice for a stop off.
The wind got up quite nasty & we had to take our awning down but didn’t affect our stay. It was awesome & I will broadcast the fact. It is great for vans, tents & any outdoor amenities. We will return in the hot sunshine. It’s a must for people to try. Thumbs up to the staff for maintaining so well.
We never saw any animal poo other than one day which 1 family just left to roam & didn’t watch but otherwise 10/10

Great location with great views. Easy walk into Whitby. Toilets were ok. Water available and toilet waste. Loads of room on site. Friendly staff.

If you're considering camping with a tent, please be careful. I saw pitchers opting to sleep in their cars instead of tents because of the strong winds. I decided to pack up and leave early in the morning. The wind was so powerful that it caused our and other peoples tent poles to snap. I would like to note, that it was the second use of our tent and the firs use for our close neighbour that also had a snapped rod. The management of this site should really warn visitors about the risks of camping here. Stay safe!

The guys running the site were really friendly and helpful, to the point of literally guiding you to the pitch on a quad bike. Of course the location is second to none, we had views over the sea on two sides thanks to the cliff top location and the Abbey from another.

Disliked is a string word. The facilities were exactly as I expected from reading other reviews. Portacabins with toilets and no showers - not an issue for us
