Very basic

Excellent location, just a few mins walk directly into Whitby. Brewery next door has lots of lovely ales to try and artisan pizza but be quick it’s a very popular spot! The backdrop of the abbey is out of this world. Ice cream van does the rounds on site too!

Not many young families, more older groups of friends, a bit of a festival vibe. Only 6 toilets for the entire site (3 male, 3 female).

Great location close to the town that’s the good bit.

I knew there were no shower blocks however the toilets were too few for how many people were on site, they were pretty disgusting as well, dogs were running loose causing carnage there was a smell of weed in the air thought I had took the wrong turn and ended up at Leeds fest I won’t be rushing back

A site where there aren’t 1000 controlling rules. Sure, there’s the usual about noise levels after certain times but that’s just courteous anyway.
Huge space, friendly family who run it, lots of mini skips dotted about with water points, toilets and elsan disposal if required.
Beautiful views out to sea and of the Abbey.
Micro brewery next door which serves pizza until 7pm and beer until 9pm.

Not enough toilets for the size of the site. Toilet paper had regularly run out and they could have done with being cleaned regularly.
Although I had a brilliant time with friends, £25 a night is fairly steep for basic field pitch.

We really enjoyed this campsite especially as it was right by the abbey. The views were gorgeous with a path walking down the centre along the coast. The toilet facilities were average and they also had tap water drinking facilities. Lovely place to stay! Really friendly management.

It would be good if there were showers however we only stayed for 1 night so it was okay for us.

Easy access to Whitby and lots of space for pitching up.

Toilets

Only thing we liked was that it was only 10 Minutes walk into Whitby albeit 199 steps up and down. We ate at the famous magpie cafe wait 30 minutes to be seated but it was worth it the cod and chips where very nice

The fact the site was absolutely crammed there was only a few toilets to accommodate lucky we didn’t need to use them

Great Location.

Shocking toilets. We were told on entry that there were 700 people booked over late august bank holiday. They had to share 12 toilets across 2 blocks of which one block was practically derelict. No hot water or toilet roll. The owners are coining it in because of the location and should provide proper facilities if they are going to take this many bookings. No sanitary bins in the ladies. No evidence of any cleaning. Aditional facilities should have been provided for the bank holiday weekend.
