Very friendly and easy going host who spent time showing me around. Lots of clean facilities to go round. I parked my camper van on hard standing outside the shower block which was great for the one night I was there but if I return I would chose the field for the views.
Loved that you could walk to the reservoir from the farm if you wished. Also you can help yourself to eggs, sausages and burgers from the honesty box.
It was a delight to see children being shown the animals in the morning and my neighbour, the pig, was lovely.
The site is a great base for beaches, coast path walks or exploring Exmoor.

The site facilities (Showers, Toilets, Fridge/Freezer, Washing and Drying Machine, Drying Room, Firepits).

The warm welcome from Nicky and the chance to help on the farm (kids loved feeding the chickens, chicks, pigs, piglets and horses throughout the week; they even got to hold some of the chicks). It’s a shame I could only give 5-stars for the child-friendliness rating.

The location was beautiful (in the middle of the countryside) next to Exmoor National Park but easily accessible from the main roads. There were so many local attractions within an hour of the site that we had to be selective with how we spent our time! Nicky was also able to help with recommendations for activities and places to eat.

Local farm produce was available to buy from the farm (sausages, burgers steaks) all of which was delicious.

The slope on the campsite. But we did find a relatively level area to pitch. There was no WiFi but the mobile service was more than adequate to stream Ben and Holly etc in the morning before breakfast… (those that know, know).

Peaceful and tranquil with beautiful views. In a great location only a short drive from several attractions and beach towns.
Clean and well-stocked facilities. Option to use fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer if needed.
Attentive owners - we were invited to help feed the farm animals and meet the baby chicks.
Large, level pitches so able to camp away from other families and have plenty of space to set up.
Felt completely relaxed and at ease here.

Would have been nice to have some dim lighting along the pathway to the toilet and shower block - it was pitch black at night.

Lovely peaceful site with plenty of space, clean and heated bathrooms and a nice view/walk down to the local reservoir. Fire pits allowed, logs and home produced sausages and burgers on sale (inexpensively). Run by a really nice family and I don't recall seeing a single sign telling us what we were or were not allowed to do.

We didn't need a hookup and were a bit concerned that the site was too close to the road so we parked down the bottom of the field and accepted the walk back up to the bathroom. We need not have worried... the site is below the road and noise was not an issue. Unfortunately we didn't get clear skies during our stay but there's no light pollution so looking forward to seeing the stars on our next visit.

What's not to like?

I really liked the laidback feel, open space and beautiful views. Lots of green space for kids to run around and my daughter loved visiting the piglets which were definitely the highlight of our stay.
Great location within easy reach of a variety of beaches.
By far the best facilities I have seen at a basic campsite like this one. Loads of showers and loos kept clean and warm. Plenty of room to wash up and always hot water. Very refreshing that these were so generously provided as were a fridge and freezer for guest use and a charging point for phones.

Be aware the sound carries hugely on this site, so know that if you are listening to music, so is everyone else on the campsite.

Lake within walking distance through the fields.
Toilets and showers very clean and cosy- much nicer than expected.
Eggs for sale, fresh from the hens. We very much enjoyed these for breakfast 😉
Children enjoyed seeing the pigs and their piglets.
Plenty of space for a game of frisby.
Lots to do within driving distance. We went bowling in Barnstaple (25mins), and to Combe Martin Dino and wildlife park (5mins).
Owner very kind and helpful. She made us feel very welcome. Would definitely use again😁

We had a lovely stay here. Nicky gave us a very warm welcome and we immediately felt at ease here. The facilities are brilliant, the showers are hot and there are plenty of shower rooms and toilets. Everything was clean and easy to access.

Despite the top field being fairly close to the road, it felt very quiet and peaceful at night. Indeed, the whole site felt very peaceful and spacious and there are beautiful views. A great base for visits to all sorts of beautiful places. We can only highly recommend this wonderful campsite! Thank you Nicky and family!!

Natural setting. Awesome views. Friendly welcome. Sounds of all the farm animals fill the air. Fantastic showers and facilities. Good supply of logs, fresh eggs. Perfect.
