It was a lovely camp site

The tent pitch area was very tidy and plenty of space to pitch up. The toilet and shower facilities were brilliant.

–

- Well cared and clean toilet
- Nice playground & locomotion

- No view downside (it would be great if the tree line is trimmed a bit for a downhills sight)
- More BBQ brick oven would be great. We had to camp in the middle of the site, the 2 ovens on 2 side was occupied by no one but we couldn't use as they were already covered by tens
- More sightboards to indicate other areas to visit
- Hot water was not stable

What a lovely quirky place .Spotlessly clean .loved the steam railway just on our doorstep.🚂

Great little relaxed site to pitch your tent. We wanted somewhere not too far from home to make a weekend camp worthwhile and we'll definitely be back.

Showers and toilets were good, but are open to the public while the Watercress Line attraction is open. A special shout out goes to the brilliant cleaner who comes in every evening once the railway attraction part closes. She is so thorough cleaning the toilets and showers ready for evening showers! There are hairdryer in the toilet blocks (although they're not the best!).

Washing up hut has a freezer where you can refreeze ice blocks and 4 sinks for washing up.

Obviously being so close to the Watercress Line attraction you do hear the steam engines through the day, but this wasn't a problem and the children loved being able to go in and see Thomas, Percy etc and the shows. There's a little play park (don't pack clothes you mind getting a bit grubby and sooty!!!)

Road is very dusty and pebbly to drive along.
We pitched on the field near the entrance to the park which was great for feeling a bit enclosed, but you do smell the diesel from the trains. I think next time, we'd pitch up on the bank.

Absolutely everything from the location to facilities always lovely and clean reception staff amazing and friendly nothing too much trouble cleaner goes above and beyond her futies to make the place sparkle

Clean and friendly campsite directly behind Ropley train on the Watercress line. Nice and quiet and the kids had a great time. Will definitely return in the future.
