The best campsite we visited so far and well definitely be back in the future

Our campsite is hillside with natural level areas. We do not intent to landscape to accommodate vehicles in wet ground conditions. It would totally destroy the natural, rustic, back to basics site. We have hardstanding/car park near the farm house and ask campers not to drive onsite when wet or after dark. The view, peace and quiet and natural flora & fauna are its best assets.......plus sunrise, sunsets. Mid week is quiet and the solitude is a dream!

Your positive review is very much appreciated. An explanation for the loo situation would be welcome. We are onsite to sort out any problems and we also have a family bathroom in our holiday cottage (currently unoccupied for the busy summer weeks) which is available if we have any major fails.

We do understand having no signage is a nuisance. Google maps will get you straight to the farm house and then all is clear! We have tried hard to avoid passing trade. Day trippers wanting to pitch up for a barbecue are a nuisance and difficult to manage. We have been known to shut the gates and put a key lock on (mid week) so the site is for exclusive use of campers and gives extra security at night especially for singles. We have a maximum of 20 tents/5 campers over a 7 acres camping meadow. Hard standing for camper vans when wet.
Facilities are basic but very clean. Staff are very helpful.

We are sorry our shower/toilets disappoint. We intend to improve the facilities but this is our first full season and we need to justify the upgrade and workout the comfort level campers require. All showers/lighting/fan heaters/hot water heaters are new and compliant. The shower room has a fan heater for campers to use. And the showers are HOT & FREE!

No em va agradar: The whole campsite was on a slope. My sleep pad kept siding to the bottom of my tent which made for an uncomfortable night.
Just two toilets for the whole campsite and uni sex. Bit pricey for what it is, I’ve paid less for much better facilities.
The campsite is hillside with natural levels and an amphitheater lay out. The sloping areas are left un mown, the levels areas are defined by the mown grass. There are areas that are not quite as flat but these can easily be avoided as there is plenty of camping space for 25 pitches over 7 acre camping meadow. Instagram shows you clip of our site and the various levels and the stunning westerly aspect for sunsets/camp fires and a perfect reset. Location, location, location!!!! A throne with a view on the camping meadow would
make our Narnia complete!

A cometic upgrade for our purpose built toilet shower cabin is in hand,
All showers/lighting/fan heaters/hot water heaters are new and compliant.
The shower room has a fan heater for campers to use. And the showers are HOT & FREE!
As a rule, our facilities meet our campers expectations and are not looking for frills.
