Helpful staff (Ed)No em va agradar: I booked in to car camp but when I got there I wasn’t allowed on the field due to too much rain so had to park on the car park. Wasn’t offered any discount and was still made to pay for fire wood £10 a bag. Then to rub salt into the wounds a camper van and a roof tent turned up and was allowed on the field.
Not worth £20 a night plus £5 a night for the dog.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The fire pits and wood for sale was a nice touch (we will definitely take advantage of this next time)

No em va agradar: Given how wet it has been recently it’s unsurprising it was pretty muddy. Site is on quite a slope which provides the nice view but makes it tricky to find a pitch which isn’t sloping too much.

We chose a really good spot with a great view and used the fire pit provided to sit out late and admire the view. Toilets were clean. Was only there for one night so didn’t use the shower but they seemed fine as well. Would come back to this campsite for a nice quite weekend away again.

Stunning views from the site from a nice level hardstanding area. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean. Overall a really nice spot for our overnight stop
No em va agradar: Be mindful the track down to the site is a “bumpy” farm track not a road, didn’t bother us or cause us any issues at all in our camper-van but worth noting.
Follow the directions for the site as the postcode in google maps puts you 0.6miles from the site

Toilets clean and they kept my spot for my whilst I was out for the day. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe. Fantastic views. Stayed in car park as the field was too wet, but looking forward to going back in summer.

Hi solo camper,
Unfortunately we could not allow vehicles onto the hillside campsite due to excessive rain. Vehicles can not climb the terrain to get back off and become stuck. If the vehicle is a 4 wheel drive then there is not a problem and we have to make a decision accordingly. Hopefully the weather will turn soon!
Our wood prices are competitive when buying one off bundles at petrol stations and bargain stores.
Campers are more than welcome to

👍We accept car campers, DIY conversions, small campervans.
👍Day visitors who wish to picnic, barbecue then pack up and go. The view is stunning!

👍 Fishing trolleys available to carry on camping equipment when vehicles inaccessible.
🙏We appreciate your comments and will be adding a Solo camper option to the booking platform which we will offer at off peak times.
We keep the pitches to a max of 25 on a 7 acre hillside campsite to maintain a rustic, back to basics experience. Our fee for dogs is maintained at a low price compared to some sites. Our campers tell us we are too cheap
and have paid up to £15/dog.
