I liked the short walk to the beach, that's why I booked it.

The pitch sizes are tiny motor homes and campers crammed together.we were pitched next to a old knackered caravan. Showers and toilets are untidy and a bit dirty never seen anyone in cleaning.lots of children running in and out. No hand soap and dirty sinks.and discarded clothes left lying around. This is the place for families who allow their children to run wild and enjoy themselves. So if you are travelling just adults don't book this place. I don't recommend and won't be going back.

Pitches weren’t too far from the shower block which was good with young kids. Was able to get into swim even though we hadn’t pre booked. Arcades and show bar were fun to spend a couple of hours in when it was raining outside. Electric pitches. Clean facilities

Booking email said go to reception when we arrive to check in. We got there around 7.30pm and reception was closed. No signs up to say what to do or where to go when reception was closed. No phone number on the booking email. Spent the first hour when we arrived looking around to figure out how to check in. Finally found the reception at the entertainment bar was the place to check in but no one was there. After more waiting someone finally came back to reception and checked us in. Wasn’t a good first impression and after a long day travelling we wanted to get set up before it got too late. No wifi at the pitch and no internet signal on our phones so made it impossible to plan the rest of our trip and look for things to do

Pool looked good

Park Dean shows views of Solway Firth on website, from pitch 4 we had view of dustbins and laundry. Not good.

Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly, in particular Jordan, he is an asset to Southerness, so helpful and takes time to advise or answer any questions, seemed to be always working and knows the place inside out, friendly with the kids.

The closeness to the beach

No hand soap in toilet block

- Children’s entertainment zone.
- Friendly and helpful staff at Reception.
- Extremely helpful staff at the swimming pool.
- Dog friendly environment.
- Activities and resources available for children.
- Food at the restaurant.

- Lack of Wardens to impose rules (I.e. the leaving of rubbish outside pitches at night, which subsequently gets picked at my wildlife causing mess across other Pitches come morning).
- Cleanliness of bathrooms (particularly the men’s bathroom).
- Lack of oversight within the children’s arcade by Staff (with older and taller children using the Soft Play and causing smaller children to hurt themselves).
- Service at the restaurant was lacklustre; especially when it came to the ordering of hot drinks from Costa.

Large pitch area. Clean washing facility area. Clean shower and toilet unit.

Food in restaurant over priced and poor. Would not eat here again
