They purposely don't overbook campers; it's not oversubscribed as they wish to retain an ambient and tranquil setting which is ideal for adults, like us, who yearn for some peace and quiet - we found this such a refreshing change.
We didn't use the lakes for course fishing, instead we enjoyed a stroll around the lakes to meet the ducks, geese, heron and other wildlife. The shop is great for local produce and caters for the avid fishers.
Excellent value for money. We can't wait to visit again soon and stay longer.

Basic quiet friendly site. equal distance to Sherborne and Dorchester. Less than an hour to Weymouth and Portland Bill. Swanage, Bournemouth and Poole easily accessible by road. Needed a break and got one.No em va agradar: nothing really,

The owners and the people that work there are very friendly and helpful but not in your face. Its peaceful and the fishing is good and varied. The fish here are the best condition we have seen.
