Good play area for kids and room for games and bikes.
Good facilities.No em va agradar: Late night loud unsupervised children in play ground. We camped near play areas thinking we could easily keep an eye on our young children. This was an error as many others allowed to play very late. At least the security guard packed them off at10:30pm. Coin operated showers

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: It was our first time camping, and Middlehills Farm Campsite was the perfect choice. The environment is very comfortable, the scenery is beautiful, and the facilities are well-equipped. Everything from the toilets and showers to the campsite itself was spotlessly clean, which really made the experience pleasant and relaxing.
The showers have hot water, and although there is a small fee to use them, this was not a big issue for us.
The only minor downside was that there seemed to be a nearby pub or restaurant with a live band playing at night, and the music went on until around midnight. It wasn’t a big problem, but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs.
Overall, it’s a fantastic campsite that I would happily recommend to others.

The pizza van was an extra treat. Staff were helpful with check in. Most people turned music off after 10, but stayed up chatting in their groups which added a nice atmosphere. You could hear the quarry but nothing noisier than you would expect from a working quarry!

No em va agradar: Felt like the kids were being policed a little bit on the play area. Appreciate that there has to be some rules however, kids are kids and just want to have fun and make use of what is on offer for them.
The noise from the nearby quarry is quite loud.
We weren't given WiFi info....didn't affect our overall stay but I think site info should be given on arrival.

At weekends the pizza van is really nice. The pigs are part of the furniture there. The location is great for lots of walks, visiting Robin Hoods Stride, Matlock, Middleton Top etc we’ve stayed here many many times over the years.
No em va agradar: There was an annoying very large group of blocks which kept us up late. Part of the risk of camping sometimes 🤷♂️
Thankyou for your review, and glad you enjoyed your stay, sad to hear you wouldn't return, but that's your loss. Children on the playground sometimes have to be policed because sadly their own parents don't, and they can cause upset for some other children, and whilst on our site we will tell them. Did you ask for wifi info ? As the site is rural wifi can be very intermittent and being able to use the card machine in the shop and reception is far more important, if you can use your own data that is preferable but if you had asked we would have given it to you.
