Great location and immaculately kept site. Greeted on arrival and told where everything is.
Strictly no arrivals before 2.30pm as single track lane but few passing places so not an issue if going out and about.

Great location in side of river tees which is lovely and has a small pebble beach so dog loved getting in. Be careful as still fast flowing though.
Toilet facilities lovely and new and clean, closed between 12-2 for cleaning but a disabled loo is an available at this time.
Reception has all sorts of essential supplies both food and camping/canning incl a chiller of beer and wine !
Robin comes around and delivers fire pits available for hire and wood to buy which is a great service if you like this but don’t want to haul your own.
Adult only site but Robin will not tolerate people who are too raucous and loud too late so if want a party venue this isn’t it.
Short walk into town for a coop, butchers, bakery/cafe, two pubs both doing food and a great fish and chip shop.

The campsite was very well maintained. it was very welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful the facility were excellent and very well maintained and clean. Great facilities for our dog as well.

The location is brilliant. A short walk along the river to the village, with numerous independent eateries. On site the toilet and shower facilities are smart and clean, and the shop is well stocked. Spacious pitches AND a dog walking area on site!

One couple was being so noisy, and really spoiling the serene location for everyone else. However, I haven't marked the campsite down as they evicted them as soon as they were aware. Top marks for no-nonsense attitude towards it being peaceful and enjoyable for all!! The only other thing was needing 50p for the shower... but the shop was happy to swap change.

We loved the peace, quiet and fabulous views, adults only too. Great little walk alongside the river into Middleton. Very clean toilets, large showers.

Lack of drinking water points, our closest was across the other side of the camping field. Paying extra for a shower on top of what we thought an already high end site fee
