Brilliant site. Has everything you need good size pitches great showers and washing facilities so ok 50p for a shower but nothing to grumble about and also has great scenery. Owners. Robin Hires out log burner s which are great on the colder nights to sit round with a couple of beers. Haven't got a bad thing to say had a canny break with the daughter and wife. Only thing wish it hadn't rained as much but thats the british weather. Village just a short walk along the river with plenty of shops and a great chippy and a couple of pubs so all in all great location for a lovely break away. 👍

fantastic campsite and facilities, Great owners this has been our 3rd time being there and we will be going again. Dog friendly. Village close by to get anything you might need. Very peaceful.

Excellent campsite with great views!
We loved our spot by the river.
The facilities were great and very clean the entire stay and the staff were lovely.
I would highly recommend to both caravan/motorhome and tent owners.
I would definitely stay again!

Staff were brilliant and friendly. Site was peaceful with some beautiful scenery. The firepit was lovely. The facilities were really new and looked after. The local takeaway delivered to the site and was delicious.

The town is a short walk. We went to a nice pub, and the bookshop.

Spent some time in Barnard Castle which is 20mins away. Had some gelato and ate at the three horseshoes - highly recommended

A mile or so stroll into Middleton with shops,pubs and chip shop to name a few. Of course the weather helps, very 🌞

A lovely area! A lot to explore, free fishing, the toilets are clean as is the site. Short walk to a small village, and a short drive to multiple areas of interest and/or walks.

The camping field was quite quiet when we were there which was nice, as it was my dogs first camping trip, and it went great.

We were camped right on the riverside which was nice too. Plenty of gates to access back into the campsite from the path along the river.

We would have ideally liked the onsite shop to have been open a little more often.

This is our second year returning to Leekworth. The site is clean, well maintained and quiet. Those staying are respectful to others camping. If your looking for a party site you need to look else where.
The toilets are clean and shower block is also maintained to a high standard.
There is a well stocked shop on site and the owner offers fire pits and logs each evening.

The site is a short walk to the village along the river, and there are a choice of other walks close by. You are able to fish on the river whilst staying on sit too.

Overall a wonderful stay again, we will be back next year

Facilities were good.

Showers do not stay on for long enough for 50p.
Fire pit comes with wood but no fire lighters so have to purchase them on top.

Beautiful campsite next to the river spotlessly clean and really well run. The campsite manager was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning next year.
