Perfect setting, quiet and despite the weather a very comfortable stay.

Location, Location, Location

A large group of caravans parked in a circle at the far end of the site with loads of men and women standing around had three small dogs off lead who were trying to bite my large German Shepherd, I had to hold my dog to stop her defending herself as I think if she had of got hold of one of those small dogs she could have done damage and I feel the whole situation would have escalated for myself and my wife

Location, right by a great river. Safe swimming. Good shady pitches, plenty of room.

Place felt municipal but in an okay way, there is a rugby pitch and club house in there. Facilities had been updated and were kept clean.

Place was relaxed and easy going, quiet at night. The bar is some way off from most pitches. Didn’t use the bar, but typical food (steak/salmon & frites) available, seemed open most of the time. There were activities, but no rating because we didn’t try any. Tbh I try to avoid booking sites with too much going on.

Staff were easy going, helpful and sorted things without fuss. Their English far better than my French, so that helped.

No great dislikes on my part, there were a few out of order cubicles in each block, but never had to queue.

The lovely pitch right next to the river, easy book in and quiet evenings and nights.

Unfortunately some people can't use the toilets correctly, the poor staff were over worked cleaning them.

Well defined pitches with hedge separation. We paid extra to have a pitch backing onto the riverside public path which was a superb location. The site was well provided with showers and toilets which were cleaned thoroughly every morning. I could use free wifi in the comfortable bar and lounge by reception where I could keep in touch with work as I am self employed. The village of Buisson de Cadouin was an easy short walk away. This had 2 bakers, charcuterie and a small supermarket with a very good butcher. It also held spectacular markets where you could buy a vast range of local produce.

Famille en camping car, nous avons aimé ce camping sur la région de la Dordogne et la facilité pour réserver en dernière minute.
Placé au bord de la Dordogne, emplacement avec une vue magnifique.
Je recommande ce camping.
