The site was an excellent base for us. For days out. Also, had a couple of mornings sitting at the tables under the trees, reading and chilling. It's a really pleasant stay.No em va agradar: The noise from the A35- easily solved with ear plugs at night.
No where to refreeze chilly bricks.

No em va agradar: Finding the site when we were close by is difficult, as the Post code provided covers a number of roads and my satnav took me to the centre of the postcode. We phoned the site and the landlady kindly talked us in. it is on the Wareham Road not in a a modern estate up the road.

Sorry you had trouble finding us, but as we explained the postcode we have been given covers the village as well. In the future use Goole maps or the What3word app using the words according.speedily.urgent that should bring you straight to the gate.

No em va agradar: The only slight downside was that the site is near a busy A road that was noisy through the night, but earplugs helped.

We are doing all we can to combat the road noise with extra planting of trees, shrubs and laurel bushes. These will take time to grow but they will help in the long term.

Toilets and showers very clean & well maintained.
Great location to visit various places (Swanage, Poole, Sandbanks, Tyneham & Kimmeridge Bay were just a few we went to during our 5 night camping trip)
Liked the fact there’s no wifi! Back to basics, switch off & relax!No em va agradar: The road (A35) can be heard (bank holiday weekend, busy, lots of sirens & motorbikes!) but after active days & lots of sea air it didn’t bother us after the first night!
Showers were hit & miss with low pressure & loss of hot water- time them well!
As it’s a small site, pitches aren’t huge and not loads of space for kids to play without disturbing someone ‘next door’ - a small climbing frame could be great

We did explain at your welcome that we are in a low water pressure area and that you need to follow the instructions in the showers.
The pitch that you were on was 15m by 8m, unfortunately you did not tell us that you were bringing such a large tent, trailer and awning. If we had known that your tent was over 8m long, we could have accommodated you on a larger pitch.
We do not advertise that we have a play area, as campers use the site as a base to explore the local area.

No em va agradar: A bit cramped with other campers being so close, definitely not the 6M as stated in the leaflet we were given on arrival. The combination locks on the gates (both vehicle and pedestrian) were a pain during the day but understand the concerns about potential “intruders”.

At your welcome we did explain were to pitch your small two man tent, but you chose to pitch it closer to the other tents in the corner of the pitch.
With regards to locks, a safe a secure site is required at all times to ensure that you belongings are kept safe while you are out and about visiting our beautiful County.
