No em va agradar: There are combination locks on both car and pedestrian gates to open and re lock every time you go in or out of site and owner puts a heavy chain padlock on main gate between 10pm and 7/8am. We felt it was a bit over the top and unnecessary when there are combination locks as well. Also it’s really noisy with traffic all night, be warned.
All facilities are clean in good condition. Staff very friendly

Toilets and showers cleaned regularly.

We will take you point on board, but we are only a small site with limited space. There are a number of launderettes in the area, which we could have directed you to if required.

Was told of best area to get it and used it when needed.

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: We stayed here for a week, at first sight the site is clean, grass is well kept and the pitches were of a good size. We were welcomed by Lee who explained everything when we arrived and it it was great. However, there are just a few snags that caused some annoyance and that could do with being changed. Unless changed we probably will not return in the future or recommend this site. The wooden gate to get on and off site is locked by a coded padlock, this is fine but the padlock is always put on backwards so you cannot see the numbers (which isn’t great in torrential rain), you also cannot enter and exit the site on your own as the gate does not stay open or shut in order for you to drive your car in and out without the gate hitting the car- great dent on the side of my car proves this!
The shower block and washing up station needs a whole new layout and better water supply. The showers are unisex and are in the ladies toilets, which is quiet uncomfortable for both parties when being used. There are 25+ pitches on site, with only 3 showers. During our stay 1 was closed due to paint coming off the wall (which was described to us, by Lee, as huge amounts of vandalism and was very dramatised) and was shut was 4 days. Another shower lost water pressure/had an error code, so for 3 days of our visit there was only one working shower between the WHOLE camp site! The showers are run off an electric water supply, so when someone’s washing up at the washing up station, washing their hands after going to the toilet or trying to shower the water cuts off or the temperature drops or increases causing it to be scolding hot! This can be incredibly dangerous when showering, especially with children. The shower block is NOT fit for purpose and needs to be urgently looked at

Thank you for your review, we will address your concerns point by point:
• The gate has a coded padlock for security, and occasionally it is put back on upside down by other campers. The
gate also has a drop-down bolt that secures the gate open to allow individuals to enter and exit the campsite on
their own.
• The individual showers are unisex, and this is explained at your welcome, but they are not in the ladies’ toilets as
you state. The lobby area has three doors one for each of the showers and one for the ladies’ toilets. The door to
the ladies’ toilets also has a note asking it to be closed for privacy.
• There are only 25 pitches on our site and 5 of those are for caravans or motorhomes with their own facilities.
• One of our three showers was vandalised at the start of your stay, and it need to be repaired to prevent water
damage. The shower was out of action for 3 days.
• Our disabled shower has an anti-scald device which shuts off the shower if the temperature is turned to high.
Again, this was all explained at the welcome. Instructions for shower use, which is in each of the shower rooms,
explain this in full detail. The shower would only have an error code if this feature was activated, but it does reset
itself after a few minutes.
• To allow us to be more environmentally friendly, all our showers, water heaters and room heaters are electric as
we have no gas on site. Therefore, as we all move forward, we need to compromise and be respectful of our
environment. We do explain that we are in a low water pressure area at your welcome. In our, and the local
authority’s opinion, the shower block is fit for purpose.
I would also point out that I am on the site every day, but not once did you bring any of these issues to my attention for me to rectify or give further explanation. Also, with regards to your statement about the vandalism ‘which was describe to us, by Lee as huge amounts of vandalism and was very dramatized’ I do not recall speaking to you about this issue or having any conversation with you about these problems.

Unfortunately you did have a bad week weather wise, with it being wet and cold. This impacted our shower block as everyone wanted hot showers. Sorry if this caused you an issue, but if everyone followed the simple rules regarding the showers then it would have been ok.

At your welcome we do explain that we are a secure site and that the main gates are locked at 10.30pm and opened up at 7.30am for everyone's security. The padlocks are used during the day to make sure that your belongings are safe whilst you are out exploring Dorset. This is one of the reasons we have repeat visitors to our site as they feel safe and secure.
We are doing all we can to combat the road noise with extra planting of trees, shrubs and laurel bushes. These will take time to grow but they will help in the long term.
