Camping Plateau des Chasses

Although it's so close to Cannes, Camping Plateau des Chasses has a stellar amount to see and do around its coast and countryside too. (Although do make for Cannes as soon as poss, to see its beaches and swish harbour, take a boat to the nature reserve of Sainte-Marguerite island less than a kilometre offshore… or just to roam stalkingly around town beadily eyeing all you meet in case they might be A Celeb.) The closest town to the site is Mandelieu, where there are heaps of hikes, two top golf courses, tennis courts, and access to parasailing, jetskiing, waterskiing, sailing and diving. Also around are Vallauris (12 kilometres), once home to Picasso and now with ceramists, potters and crystalmakers galore; perfume town Grasse (13 kilometres) and the glass blowing studios of Gourdon (15 kilometres). The aquarium, kids' fun park, waterpark and adventure golf of Marineland in Antibes is 25 kilometres away.
