Camping Les Puits Tournants

Camping Les Puits Tournants is within easy reach of the Somme battlefields of World War One, now a land filled with memorials and museums telling the tale of the war and those who died here. The Museum of the Great War is at the small town of Péronne nearby. If you're in the market for hiking, biking and ambling, over 120 kilometres of reserved trails suitable for all three are along the Somme canal, through Péronne and Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. Several walking paths are directly accessible from the site. Shops, restaurants and supermarkets are at Corbie and at Albert five and 15km away respectively. A day trip well worth the journey is to Amiens 25 kilometres away, a city with loads to see including its Gothic cathedral, the canal of the Saint-Leu district, Saint-Pierre's Park and the floating gardens.
