Have you ever been to the Norfolk coast? Pine-ing to return or to see it for the first time? Come and stay at Pine Cones Caravan and Camping, near King's Lynn inland and Heacham and Hunstanton on the coastline – this is such a royally good region that King Charles and his cohorts have a pad at Sandringham just a mile away. If the king were camping, it's a fairly safe bet he would like the up to date and excellently kept amenities at Pine Cones too: 16 warm luxury bathrooms, all with their own shower, toilets, basin and storage racks; a roomy, indoors washing-up area with several sinks and plenty of drainer space; and a washing machine and dryer in a separate room to sort out the laundry. Once the essentials are sorted, send the kids off to the adventure playground to try out the treehouse, rope ladders and high level walkway, and settle down in the picnic area with coffee and eats… there's a coffee machine on site and the well-stocked shop sells a good selection of items including bread, milk, and fresh and frozen food. A selection of outdoor gym equipment is also available for the energetic holidaymaker. Off site, Pine Cones is about a mile from the nearest pub the Feathers, or trot off to award-winning the Coach and Horses. Both are in nearby Dersingham village, where there's also a supermarket, takeaway and coffee shop dishing up homemade cakes daily.

喜欢: Not too far from anywhere. Plenty of walks and cycle hire. Good all round site with separately shower/toilet rooms. Even has EV charging which is great. Little dog exercise area which we could let them have an off the lead run about. Little cafe and bar. We don't normally order takeaway when we are away but used the local chippy/burger/kebab place that only charged £1.00 delivery and the food was good. Sarah on reception was lovely and friendly, and that's always nice thing when you arrive somewhere. This is the best 'nearest' site for us and we will be returning on a regular basis.

不喜欢: We had a pitch with a picnic hut and this we would happily do again. There might be an issue being next to your neighbour's one at night as they are situated right next to where you park your caravan. We will know more after we stay the next time maybe?

喜欢: The size of the pitch, showers, small bar and takeaway food. Location is lovely, you walk along the path or look at the back of the park and see deers and other wildlife. The bus stop is in the village on 10 mins walk with 3 buses per hour. Easy to bike to some local places. Staff really friendly and helpful. Site is spotless.

不喜欢: Little close to A149 so some road noise early morning.

当地景点

Beaches, historic houses, museums and festivals, tiny villages, market towns and fab family days out are all easily accessible from Pine Cones Caravan and Camping – after a day at Sandringham, but of course, to wave at the king first... Within a couple of miles, the deer safaris, farming activities and walking trails of Snettisham Deer Park and the sights and smells of Norfolk Lavender are both good options for a day out; Snettisham has an RSPB reserve too for those itching to twitch. But as you're probably in west/north Norfolk for the beaches, head to Heacham, Holkham and Hunstanton first, the closest sands to Pine Cones, and then take a trip to Brancaster 11 miles away; the family-friendly and very scenic sands of Sheringham, Cromer and Mundsley are a little further along the coast. (Also, the final scenes of Shakespeare in Love were filmed at Holkham, and all the beaches in these parts are fairly filmworthy, so bring your camera.) Other excellent options for days out include village hopping and shopping among the scenic sights of Dersingham, Holt, Fakenham, Aylsham and Burnham Market to pick up some local produce, or going along to one of Norfolk's festivals or events: there's usually something going on throughout the year. Pine Cones is also on the edge the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – bring walking boots, crabbing nets and plenty of room for picnics.
