喜欢: Friendly host. Beautiful views from the site. Quiet site. Relaxed. Very close to where we were going. Note that there is a train line at the bottom of the site, but this didn't bother us at all, it's a local line and rather relaxing watching the occasional train go back and forth (we were sure it was the same one shuttling back and forth!). The site has mowed 'pitches' and there was plenty of room. There were 5 others pitched at the same time and there was plenty of room. Mainly independent travellers, one family and two couples. We all had enough room for our privacy. Do take a torch, this is on the 'wilder' side of camping and it can get dark. Perfect for a one night stop or a base to go walking. Church Stretton (the next village) has some amazing cafes (Berry's has amazing veggie breakfast). Definitely no frills, could do with another portaloo/more permanent set of toilets, and only one shower was working. Not an issue for us as so few on the site so no real queues! We would stay again because of the friendly host, the rates, the scenery

喜欢: Really scenic views and on the doorstep of loads of hikes. Facilities are great for how much you pay and the owner is very friendly.

喜欢: Large open space, great view of nearby hills, close to nearby village for supplies. Basic facilities served there purpose fine, I enjoyed myself!

喜欢: This campsite was everything we wanted. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and gave us some great advice on local walks. The site has toilets, shower and washing area all immaculately clean. We had the most amazing views of the Shropshire hills all around the site. There is a lovely dog friendly pub with great Ales about a 5 minute walk from the site. Our dogs also enjoyed cooling off in the stream on the way to the pub. There is amazing hikes straight from site, the steep hills are worth the incredible views. There is a railway line at the bottom of the site but it didn’t cause us any issues with noise.

不喜欢: Barn field farm has the potential to be a really nice site if the owners spent a little time and small amount of money. Toilets and showers basic but OK, showers are hot. No lights in some so couldn't use showers in the evening. Had to use the loo using torch on my phone! The site needs tidying up. There is lots of the owners junk lying around by the shower area, old camping equipment, old furniture, sinks etc. It doesn't make customers feel valued if the owners are happy to take our money but aren't prepared to make the place look reasonable. It doesn't cost a penny to move rubbish out of view of paying customers. Bins were overflowing by the end of our second day, a few household wheelie bins aren't sufficient for a busy bank holiday weekend.

喜欢: Location - Close to Church Stretton, Carding Mill valley and the Long Mynd. There is a pub within a 5-10 minute walk frim the site. Stunning views of the surrounding hills. Play area for children at the site entrance. Got a 5G phone signal on the site, which was a pleasant suprise given the rural location.

不喜欢: Railway line close by - gets a bit noisy when a train passes. There is also a bit of noise from the nearby A49, especially when HGVs are passing.

喜欢: Beautiful location. Very near to Church Stretton, Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd. Lots of space on site, I could be away from other campers (even on a summer holiday weekend). Friendly hosts. The toilets and showers were clean and there was no wait to use them while I was there (there are 3).

不喜欢: Directions to the correct field were a little confusing- 3 of us staying at the site had to move our tents. My tent was near the train track which was loud, next time I would stay on the other side of the field (potentially a little quieter). A bit expensive for what it is.
