Camping Mont Blanc Plage

Понравилось: Incredibly beautiful site surrounded by breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and the mountains. Right next to Lake Passy with a wide white sandy beach for swimming , boarding and fishing. There is also another lake for the campsite alone .

Понравилось: A lightly wooded site around a large pond with a lake on an adjacent part of the site. Another larger lake 100 m away with a beach and facilities, good for swimming. Very helpful staff, new toilet/ shower block. Good location for the Mont Blanc tunnel, great views all around. Sallanches is a 10 min bike ride away and very nice. It has a station, so you could visit Geneva from here.

Не понравилось: Background noise from the motorway. Some trains pass close by, but not enough to irritate.

Понравилось: We loved this site, although we were one of only 4 camper vans there for the 2 nights we stayed so it was nice and quiet, just how we like it. My husband very much enjoyed running around and around the 2km perimeter lake. The walk into the town was approx 30 mins each way but was well worth it. Beatrice was a great hostess and kindly managed to find us a bagette despite it being Sunday night and everything being closed. Sanitory block was modern and clean with plenty of hot water. We will definately return if we find ourselves in the vicinity again.

Понравилось: Stunning views of the mountains and a spacious woodland campsite surrounding a pond/small lake. Compared the the sites we had came from or were going to north and south of this one, it was sparsely populated with campers, I’d say 5% capacity rather than the 90% everywhere else. Not sure why. The facilities did the job, nothing too fancy. We were due to arrive late, 6:30-7:00pm ish. The site called and gave us a gate code and we’re sallowed to find our own spot to park. Which was almost anywhere we wanted. This was an early Sept trip, staying in a VW campervan.

Не понравилось: Downers are, the road noise, but I’d say this was quite common with half the French sites we stayed at, although you could move to the other side of the pond where it would be lessened. Washing facilities a bit basic.

Понравилось: The view from this campsite was absolutely phenomenal, the snowy mountains of Mont Blanc in the distance and the lake by our feet. This was the perfect location for us as we were travelling from Italy to Northern France. The host was friendly, and welcoming. The campsite had a gated entrance which felt very safe and the drive to nearby towns was short, such as Chamonix. Overall, great location.

Не понравилось: Unfortunately i would have to say that we were disappointed with the facilities, half of the showers and toilets were not in use, this would not have been an issue at the time of our stay as it had not been busy. However, out of the 4 showers available for use, only 1 of them was actually working. The toilets and sinks could have been cleaner, however this is of course up to the other guests to keep the facilities clean. The washing up sinks were efficient and a washing machine was provided at a small cost. The camping grounds were fairly wooded which provided decent shade from the hot sun this summer however this did cause issues for us getting in the tent pegs into the ground. Had the location been different, we would have been unhappy with our stay but due to the amazing location, we enjoyed it.

От менеджера: I am not sure that you talk about us because there was no small cost for the washing machine it is free. About the cleaning i wake up at 5.30 am to clean and with 12 showers and 8 toilets for 20 clients maximum we think it is enought and close some toilets.

Понравилось: We stayed for 14 nights in total. It all started with a reservation of 6 nights that has been extended accordingly. Site is super clean, amazing sight seeing, view over Mont blanc and the rest of the mountains is miraculous. Proprietary is a super nice lady, taking care of every small details. I do highly recommend the area and this camping site in particular.

Не понравилось: Nothing major otherwise we wouldn't have extended our stay at the camping site That long.

Понравилось: I liked the open space to choose where you wanted to pitch-up. Wash and washing up facilities very good. Close to lakeside beach and with own lake to use as well. Laid back feel.

Не понравилось: Restaurant closed before end of season by one month. Lakeside area tired looking and could do with a spruce up. Directions to site essential as my sat nav wasn't working and very difficult to find access by car.
