Pitch and Canvas

Gostou: Perfect couple of nights away at pitch & canvas. We stayed in the willow yurt…just wow. Very comfortable and cozy, home from home. Handy to have the fridge & kettle. The set of draws was a perfect added extra on a rainy muddy arrival, kept clothes dry and mud free. With two 6 year olds I was worried they may get cold during the night with it being windy and raining however not once, we all slept so well. The site itself is perfect, brilliant location less than 15 - 20 mins to many potential days out, also there is a brilliant playground less than 5 minutes from the site. Kids playing in the field which was nice to see, the sunset on the back field is a must watch. Site was quiet of a night. Will definitely be returning again later this year.

Gostou: The camping field. Nice and flat and well maintained. The field we were in seemed to be all young families which was great. Not sure if this was intentional or coincidence. Toilets/showers. So clean. Location. Close to tattenhall with good pubs and food places. Easy access to activities for kids..we visited ice cream farm and bewilderwood. Reception/ shop. Friendly staff. Fire pit hire.

Gostou: Great little site and very pleasant staff ,the facilities were also very clean , Tattenhall village about 25 minutes stroll and good choice of takeaways and a couple of nice pubs and we'll be visiting again

Gostou: Everything the campsite was amazing had everything you needed was very clean and so beautiful. The owner was so very friendly and helpful just a fabulous place to go and stay.

Gostou: Peacefu, clean site with great facilities. Fire pits to hire with ‘magic’ colour changing powder which the kids loved

Gostou: Had such a lovely stay at pitch and canvas for weekend. Owner of site was so lovely and helpful. Lovely small ish site. Facilities- showers, toilets and washing up areas were very clean. Close for good walks and walking distance to pub! Even better to see the northern lights this weekend. We would definitely return! Thank you

One of the things I love is the night sky at night as we have no light pollution, but the Northern lights were a lifetime experience, so glad you got to see them. Gostou: The showers were hot and clean and that's about it really.

Não gostou: We couldn't book an electric hook up pitch so I brought my brand new maxpeedingrods mxr3500 silent generator to test out only to be told I have to turn it off as it was too loud and disturbing others on the site (even though they were playing music and laughing and cooking food,which we're not bothered about!) I had to leave the site with the generator in the boot of the car and park on a country lane and start the generator to charge our phones just so the kids had something to watch while in bed. We came with 3 kids one being 11mth old so spending a night with no electric was fun 🤬 woke up freezing and unable to put the power on to heat the caravan up. We were there for the bike racing at Oulton Park and it completely ruined our weekend. If it wasn't for spending a lot of money on the racing tickets we'd have gone straight home! It doesn't say anything about not using generators on the site in their do's&don't hence why we booked the pitch. Really disappointed with this site. Won't be using it again.

Pitch & Canvas is a quiet, family friendly campsite where guests can relax in the knowledge they will have a peaceful nights rest and enjoy the ambience of our site. Sadly your generator, which was running through the night as well as during the day, disturbed the majority of other campers who were staying in tents, (it could even be heard inside the toilet block), so we politely asked you to turn it off. We would always advise guests to book the correct pitch type for their unit and if no pitches are available contact us and we will add to the waiting list for those particular dates, or look for alternatives for you. Guests staying on non electric are always welcome to safely charge phones / iPads in Reception or they can use the plug sockets located inside both the ladies and gents facilities. Every guests comfort is very important to us, along with our sites ambience. Whilst we are sorry our campsite isn't suitable for you, we wish you the best for the camping season ahead.

Gostou: Friendly owners, Great campsite, has all the facilities you would need, good amount of space per pitch and in between pitches. Close by to a local village within walking distance. Beeston castle not too far away either. Plenty of walks and things to do.
