Westfield Paddock Caravan Site

Gostou: We loved the location of the site a 1mile walk to Seahouses and a 2.5mile walk to Bamburgh. The pitches are of a good size with hard standing and grass, electric hook up and water supply at each pitch. The site is best suited to self contained caravan or motorhome as there are no toilet or showers, that is no detriment to the site. The site is very well kept, the elsan point is hygienic and clean and kept in a fenced gated area as are the waste bins. We liked the site so much we stayed 3 extra nights. 2 steps outside the site gate there is a wonderful view of Bamburgh Castle. Kevin the host is friendly and helpful, he has plans to extend the site and may install facilities so watch out for updates.

Gostou: Fabulous site, mainly very well looked after all new gravel pitches. You can see the work that’s been put into the site this year. The pitches will get even better as the planting between them grows. Some older reviews are very much not applicable any longer. Water & EHU at each pitch so perfect me. Great location with easy walk to the town or beach I had two children under 10 staying part of the time & they found the walk fine.

Não gostou: Nothing to dislike. It’s clear when booking there are no showers or toilets so no big deal & as you have your own water supply, access to water & drainage for your own shower is no problem.

Gostou: I've stayed at this site many times over many years. The site has recently been upgraded with more gravel pitches and it's been very well done.

Não gostou: Sadly, very sadly, this site is no longer an adult only site. All the pitches are around the edge leaving a perfect space for children to play in the middle.

Gostou: The really Honest professional customer service,explained why our pitch was no longer available. Offered a full refund but as we were visiting family that wasn't an option. Carol arranged another site which turned out to be nearer to where we needed to be. Definitely would book again going to be a really great site once the new owners have settled in

Não gostou: Site could do with one spare hard standing pitch for emergency so pitches don't have to be cancel

Gostou: Because of heavy rain the site was flooded but the owner quickly texted us before we arrived and transferred us to Seafield Caravan Park in Seahouses. Excellent and well done for looking after us so well😊

Não gostou: Absolute nightmare this was nothing but a muddy field for a few gravel patches patches to pass as a hard standing. Not fit for purpose at all van sinking in mud when driving in and trying to get onto the pitch both sides of hard standing was just a mud bath so soon as you get out you in a led bath. Tried to contact owners who have ignored me

Do gerente: Hello Stu Thank you for you review although feel we must respond to some of your facts as they are incorrect. You booked a 'Fully serviced grass and gravel touring pitch' which is exactly what you were on, obviously there is was a grass short drive to get on to the pitch and due to the horrendous weather the UK has been experiencing recently, there is rain water around the park and mud. The hard standing you refer to is this the grass and gravel pitch you booked? As for 1 star for Wifi , child friendliness, cleanliness, facilities and activities, we feel this is totally unjustified, the park is situated in an AONB, what is there not for families, children and adults alike not to enjoy? A beach within less than a 1 mile walk, surfing, castles, swimming pool, spa , steam room all on your doorstep within 1 mile?? Accommodation as a 1 star also, it was your own accommodation you were stay in? Confusing?

Gostou: Loved the clean site and hard standing pitch.

Não gostou: Lack of toilets and showers. But as a new site it’s ok. Also noisy, inconsiderate other campers playing loud music at 8am on Sunday morning. Hard standings a little too hard for awning pegs!

Gostou: The location, some of the pitches had privacy hedges! A thoughtful dog walking area, fenced off on the hedge of the site, good approach road, short walk into Seahouses, best CL in the area in my opinion.

Não gostou: Not having a we, we knew this when booked but think if they added this it would outrank any cl for miles around!
