Halfway House Inn

Gostou: Unfortunately I only stayed two nights so didn’t have chance to take advantage of all the facilities, what I can say is the owners were very polite and helpful, I had an excellent pitch which included its own water supply and electrical hook up (at no extra charge) shower and toilets were always clean and available with lots of hot water. I didn’t get chance to sample the food in the pub but heard plenty of good comments from other site users.

We have been working hard on renovating our showers. We believe in offering hot showers in a heated amenity block for free. Gostou: The location was perfect for visiting friends in the area. Friendly welcome, nice pub. Power and water to our pitch.

Não gostou: Toilets did not appear to be cleaned during our stay. No toilet paper. Some rowdy behaviour after midnight. The Bridgenorth hunt kennels is nearby and the dogs are sometimes very loud early in the morning. The price is very high for what it is.

Do gerente: Hi Neil Im so glad you were pleased with your pitch and our friendly team. Yes, we are just over a mile from Bridgnorth which makes it great for visiting the beautiful market town. Toilets: Please accept my sincere apologies, I have asked our housekeeper to investigate why they were not at our normal high standards. Noise after midnight: we run an adult only campsite and are strict with our rules.As well as our landline we also have a pub/ campsite mobile phone that is dedicated to out of hours enquiries/ issues - Im so sorry you were not made aware of it on your stay. The hounds: We are blessed to be in the heart of the Shropshire country side & with this, comes a certain way of country life - cows mooing, happy lambs baa'ing (if that is a word) birds tweeting & yes every so often the hounds barking now and then. The hounds have been in Eardington for centuries and will be for the next century. Cheers Matt & Team

Gostou: Pitches that are hardstanding are pretty level. The attached pub is a quaint cosy pub serving delicious food. All staff were very friendly and helpful making you feel truly welcomed. It was very busy on the campsite, the weekend we were there due to the bank holiday. We would definitely revisit on a quieter weekend.

Não gostou: Limited toilets and showers which are due to be refurbished. This is needed to compare with the expectations of visitors, increasing the provision seems needed.

Toilet & Showers: Our shower block does have 1 male & 1 female shower but there is a unisex shower too. We are looking into adding extra showers. Across from our shower block, our pub toilets are open 24/7 and they have ample toilets & urinals. It will be great to see you again Matt & Team

Gostou: Great location for where we wanted to go. Well maintained, friendly owner. Family site behind pub. We didnt eat in pub but other campers said food was excellent. Quiet at night. Would definitely give 5 stars once shower block finished.

Não gostou: Shower and toilet block undergoing maintenance so we chose to use our own accommodation. Nice and warm though and will be great once finished with separate disabled facilities.

Gostou: Friendly, clean and quiet. Big spaces not too close to others.

Não gostou: Signs were up in the shower Block re refurbishing the facilities, which is needed.

Gostou: Not much! Pub food was okay but breakfast at £12.95 a person is outrageous! The bar staff were pleasant and helpful.

Não gostou: Poor site, bathrooms appalling, notice on doors saying they are being upgraded, when? Cleaning of bathrooms non existent and two bathrooms for the entire site which was very busy! Highest overnight price we have paid in the U.K. How they can justify £75 for two nights is beyond me! No local transport services at all, the local taxi company were close to useless, managed to get an Uber in to town by pure luck as he was close by. No wifi at all.

Gostou: The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family nearby. We also wanted to be within walking distance to Bridgenorth. We were met on arrival and shown to our pitch and told about the facilities by a very friendly (I presume) owner. The pub on-site was a bonus and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had electric hook up and a water tap on our pitch which was level too. We didn't try the food but what we saw looked lovely.

Não gostou: The shower and toilet facilities although clean are not very adequate unfortunately. There are only two toilets and two showers. One male and one female and not the best so we used our motorhome shower instead as this was better! There are some kennels or something nearby and the dogs occasionally have a barking frenzy including howling during the day and night. However this is not the campsites fault and it didn't bother us too much.

Gostou: Lovely sized pitches, short drive to Bridgnorth, amazing pub serving home cooked meals, clean facilities. Peaceful setting.

Não gostou: Not much to dislike. Would be nice if other people kept there dogs on a lead
