Loved that I asked whether we could be close to the showers/toilets as we had young children and they did this for us. Everything was to hand. It was a lovely site.

Facilities were excellent as were the staff. Pitch size was really big and well laid out.

Overlooked by people sitting on the caravans decking areas, but not a deal breaker.

Location was great, facilities clean and staff very helpful. Lots of caravan owners on site that are there frequently, quieter in the evenings which suits us. Spar only 5 minute walk down the road and easy access to A75 which makes exploring really easy too.

We love everything about this site and area. It's not too big so the kids can wander but you can still keep an eye on them. It's very relaxed with a mix of tents, tourers & static caravans round the edge.

There was no WIFI this time as ut was awaiting repair. Not really a dislike just unexpected.

Great area with a fantastic park nearby. Lovely facilities. Shops nearby were very handy. Close the A75 which made visiting loads of places really easy. handy twin site close by with even more amenities to make use of.

Had a good time. Nice disabled facilities but could do with an update. The rest of facilities were good for the rest of my family. Everything was near at hand. Would recommend to friends and family.

Manager Mark. Really helpful and friendly. Took the trouble to print a bus timetable for me, and gave advice on local swimming spots.
Toilet facilities clean and bright & my husband really appreciated the provision of a bath.
Washing up facilties good too.
Sister park at Auchenlarie, just a short bus ride away. Right by the sea, nice beach cove and pleasant cafe.
Fabulous Gatehouse of Fleet visitor centre a short walk away, Mill on the Fleet....just amazing!

Lovely, small, quiet site with a mixture of seasonal and touring pitches, owned holiday static caravans and camping pitches within 5 minutes walk of Spar, grocery store, post office, pubs/restaurants/cafes and a gift shops and a little charity shop. Individual shower/bathrooms each with a toilet so for families with small children it would be ideal. Great hot showers included in the price (bath £1 extra),plenty of room to get changed. Ideal base to explore the Dumfries and Galloway area for a few days/week. Washing machine/ dryer and iron/ironing board available ( for a small fee) in the dish washing area as well as a selection of books and Dvd’s to borrow during your stay. Campers and caravaners can get a grass pitch close together as tents and caravans are not separated to that can be quite nice. Site warden is really friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble for him.

Only small niggles really. Bathrooms could probably do with a deep clean more often ( bit dusty around the bath and sink areas and the silicone around the showers could do with being changed. (difficult to stop it going black in the corners with constant use though). soap dispensers provided in the bathrooms/ toilet need refilling more often as they were always empty but just take your own. Maybe a sign to explain to guests that they need to mop out the bathroom floor as a courtesy after use, as some did not. Love the idea of the individual bathrooms though and even though the site was full, we never had to wait for one to become free.

Excellent level pitch fully serviced and easily accessible… very warm welcome from site manager who was always very pleasant and helpful… toilet and shower facilities were very good and well kept … wonderful situation close to all the village shops etc
