Non mi è piaciuto: Didn't like their version of compost toilet of pooing into bag, and covering with your toilet paper, smell wasn't nice and I felt it unhygenic. Even though I'm sure its emptied regularly its all to close to the surface and highly visible. Surely a pit and sawdust would be better. Also there should be a door on the mens urinals, in this day and age was unacceptable.

Its a shame you didn't mention any of this when I was cleaning our toilets every morning…… I would like to say that our composting toilets are no different to most-they are essentially a box with a lined bucket for solid waste and a separator where pee can go into a soak away. When used correctly they are very effective, environmentally friendly and do not smell. We use to offer sawdust but we have found over the years that children on site tent to play with it and make a mess, so we just ask our guest to descretly cover with an extra layer of our compostable toilet paper and it works fine. I change the liners daily or twice daily depending on volume of campers. The urinals have privicay screens and are more than suitable, although you were parked directly opposite them which I thought at the time slightly unusual. Its unfortunate you wouldn't visit us or recommend us to others, I had a lovely chat with the lady you were travelling with and thought you were having a nice time too…..most people do!

Mi è piaciuto: Location was stunning Bell tent was amazing, was clean bright and airy, really nicely decorated felt like a home away from home. Outside kitchen was well stocked, we are complete rookies to camping with children and it had everything needed from two cookers, all plates and cutlery pan and frying pan, cool box and can wash up there. Toilet was clean and nice to have a private one aswell as the ones at shower block which was also super clean and worked really well. The place has a shed shop which is handy for any little bits or treats aswell as easy to buy wood using a qwerty code. The best bit must be the host, Maria (I think sorry if wrong) was super friendly and welcoming, goes out of her way for you and really makes you feel at home.

Mi è piaciuto: The site was beautiful and quiet. Maria was lovely and friendly as well as her boys who help her out. The location is perfect for a quiet, peaceful holiday and it's not far from some wonderful places to explore like Hafren Forrest, Rhaydar Dam and the Llandlois town is perfect for a mooch and some pub grub. The belle tent was comfortable and felt homely. We could have stayed longer. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be staying again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Mi è piaciuto: The campsite is wonderfully peaceful. The river is a dream for playing in and the glamping tents are really well laid out. The owner is the most helpful lady I have ever met!

Non mi è piaciuto: The public toilets may require checking a little more often to have bins emptied etc but I think the kind owner needs a little more support with the campsite as she is busy looking after guests.

Mi è piaciuto: The safari tent was perfectly set up for a family of 5. The views and site are beautiful and Maria goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. We stayed as an extended family and it couldn't have been a better place to do this.

Non mi è piaciuto: Slightly steep banks and step off of the safari tent decking just worth being aware of with very little children.

Mi è piaciuto: Lovely no thrills campsite, very quiet, composting toilets, showers and a little tuckshop. Lovely dark skies for stargazing and friendly welcoming owners.

Mi è piaciuto: Liked the view and area was nice and quiet. Most of the things we needed was there.

Non mi è piaciuto: There was not many places to go for a nice walk with dog, tent was too small for 4 people's . Toilet wasn't emptied for 4 days so poo reached the top. Mattress provided was very dirty . Would be nice to have grass cut on field opposite our tent

Dal gestore: Hi, Thank you for your review. It's such a shame you didn't mention any of this to me as I saw you every day you stayed and asked you if everything was ok to which you replied ‘Yes’. So I would like to have an opportunity respond to your comments. The mattress was new this season and always has a fresh clean mattress protector and sheet replaced after every stay and fresh bedding as an optional extra. It certainly is not filthy. When you first arrived I made it very clear as I do to all of my guests that if you need anything I am just a call / text away, so if you feel your toilet was filling up you just needed to text me and I could have changed it….again why didn't you mention this when I would see you each day? The grass opposite the bell tents thus tear us actually our hay field and with the greatest will in the world this grass will not but cut until we have made hay….which is late this year due to the terrible rain we have had. As far as dog walks…..im not sure I need to respond to this…..we are in the centre of the most idyllic countryside with place like the Hafren Forest and Clywedog Dam literally on our door step…i literally can not believe you could not find anywhere to walk you dog?? It's just bizarre to say this. There are lots of suggestions of places of local interest and leaflets in the shed shop if you took the time you would have seen this. You would also have found the free wifi and access code I give to guests. The wifi fies not cover the whole site but it us accessable from the shed and it is free!! We take pride in running a lovely place for people to come and relax in and I'm so sorry you didn't gave a good time, despite your contradicting comments to me saying you were having a lovely time when I spoke with you? I hope that future guests looking at this will make up their own minds.
