Dall Cottage Camping

Me gustó: Really enjoyed our stay at Dall cottage. Had to cross a ford to access the campsite, our car wouldn’t get across but no bother as there is a truck that can be arranged to take you across. Definitely has everything you need, a little shop with drinks, wood and blankets. Toilet and shower were both good, kept very clean. Had a real remote feel to the campsite, not many other campers and spaced out enough to not feel crowded. Each pitch has a ready set up fire pit area which is a really nice touch. The campsite is close to Pitlochry for shops and day out, plenty of walks to be had in the area. Overall had a great stay, enjoyed the walk across the river to access the site. Friendly and helpful owners.

Me gustó: Tremendous location. Secure. Brilliant hosts, really friendly and helpful. Small amount of pitches was a great idea, really makes the campsite feel unique and I always felt comfortable and safe. Was super lucky it was in the mid 20s the day I was there and the river was amazing to swim in! Dog loved it too! Will be back for sure. Thanks.

Me gustó: All of it. The peace and quiet. The location. The cute set up. Couldn't fault a thing and can't wait to go back.

Me gustó: Being beside the River Garry covers any nearby noise from the road, the sound of cuckoo's in the trees along the railway line, the fire pits, and the friendly owners and all terrain vehicle that can carry you across the river to the pitches.

No me gustó: Not really a dislike but the site will be even better when the planted trees have grown some height, allowing more forested and private pitches

Me gustó: The beautiful setting, convenient location, the free range eggs, the whisky barrel hot-tub (at the Bothy), the Bothy kitchenette, the kind and helpful assistance of Tabitha and Brett... The list could go on and on!

Me gustó: Both hosts are really friendly and practical people. I turned up at the start of storm Babet and the weather was pretty poor. I was warned of the potential for the river to swell during stormy weather, thankfully this held during my stay. The trip across the river was a nice adventure, a little army 4x4 is a great added touch. Due to the high winds the hosts added a latch to the camp shop if I needed to decamp during the night and stay in the shed. Composting toilets are an environmentally focussed solution albeit slightly draughty and slightly damp in a storm, but you are camping after all. The location is absolutely lovely, despite the weather it was a really beautiful location.

Me gustó: Beautiful location right by the river. The boys loved having the firepit right next to the pitch.
