Pearl Lake Leisure Park

Me gustó: The team were excellent, friendly, helpful and very engaged. The site and facilities were clean, well presented and the team clearly cared that we enjoyed our stay. One last big ‘shout out’ to young Jack, who came over to congratulate me on the fish I caught and then took a picture so I could gloat to my mate!

No me gustó: The Leisure Bar & Bistro had a good atmosphere and was reasonably priced but our food took an hour from point of order and some of it was under cooked and missing items. The pizza’s however, were excellent, and a lady who was very concerned that our meal was not up to their normal standards, issued a partial refund, another example of their ‘World Class’ approach to customer service we thought, so thank you!

Me gustó: The Park is absolutely beautiful..well kept and a lovely walk takes you around the lake and woodlands. The bar and restaurant was the friendliest place we've experienced, we were made so welcome by everyone we met. The meals were good portions and very well priced. The pitch we stayed on was fully serviced hard standing so that was great. It had everything you could want

No me gustó: Time limit for the shower is 8 minutes. For me that wasn't long enough, but was able to use shower in our motorhome. The Road noise was horrendous, not the fault of the site I must say...but the roads are in such bad condition that whenever a large vehicle went along it was so loud. Tractors were very busy harvesting but went on until 11.30 pm...and started again at 5.30 am....that was the only down side....highways need to repair the roads

We do say that there's a B road running through the village past the touring area and we do try to make all our guests aware of this. However, there are certain times of the year when the road is busier than usual with agricultural traffic - farmers in the area support lots of well known brands. We've also spoken to the local authority about the state of the road. We hope that despite this we will see you again in the future.

Me gustó: The site was immaculate

No me gustó: The touring section was right next to the main road and was incredibly loud from 0530 to past 2300 every day. The condition of the road is very poor and the increase in noise was tractors and trailers bouncing through the potholes and massive lorry’s doing the same. The other issue happened on the Sunday, the site advertised their restaurant so we decided to go there for Sunday lunch, it opened at 1200 so we walked down and sat outside because it didn’t look like it was open. After 10 mins a young lady came out to clear glasses off the outside tables and I asked her what time the restaurant opened and was told it wasn’t opening today because of a private function. There was no information saying it was closed and the nearest village was 10 mins walk away, not much use for us in a Motorhome and me in a wheelchair. We won’t be returning

No me gustó: Too Close to the road. Lots of tractors with trailers harvesting potatoes until late at night. A bit scary at times, asked to move plots the next night, which was much better

Me gustó: Cannot fault the site itself, staff friendly, but we left the site earlier than we booked for.

No me gustó: The tourer pitches are approx 10 ft from the road on one side and the opposite pitches are approx 30 ft from the road, we were on the ones 10ft away and the road noise was harrendous, from Sunday when we arrived until Thursday morning when we left, it was from 4-5am in the morning to between 10-11pm at night could not get to sleep for it, I know they say there may be some noise but this was far worse than that, it refers itself to rural, quite location, rural yes quiet not.

Me gustó: Lovely clean site with great facilities

No me gustó: Right next to busy road, with noise from heavy tractors and banging trailers. Wi-Fi hopeless.

We also apologise about the Wi-Fi. Being in a rural area, sometimes the signal is not the best: especially if the weather isn't good! We are, however, in communications to improve our Wi-Fi so that everyone can enjoy it regardless of the weather.

Me gustó: Very clean, well looked after, great play area. Young lady at the crescent- Chelsea, was extremely helpful.

Me gustó: Lovely, clean park, friendly staff. Even if the weather isn't good still a lovely walk round the lake and then a drink in the delightful bar. Have been a few times and will definitely be back.
