Church Field electric grass pitch

Liked: What a stunning view, parked by cliff edge and you have to admire the sense of humour, sign in front of MH read " do not park close to cliff edge due to erosion". Site was spotless toilets and showers same. Nice coffee and cakes at the trailer there. Staff really nice and friendly. Big shout out to the groundsman, really nice guys. Just beware of the bridge before the site, it's very tight.

Church Field electric grass pitch

Liked: Spacious pitches, new toilet and shower block, sea view. Short walk along coast path into Sheringham. Even though attached to a large static caravan site, the touring field felt like a small stand alone site.

Disliked: Wi fi a bit hit and miss but not an issue for us

Local attractions

Keen walkers can be striding the Norfolk Coast Path within five minutes of putting on their boots. Shorter walks include the circular amble through beach woodland, heather and gorse at National Trust-owned West Runton and Beeston Regis Heath (35 minutes’ walk), which takes in Beacon Hill – one of the highest points in flat Norfolk – the relics of a former Roman camp and Stone Hill, with fine views to the North Sea. The animal-mad among you can get your fix at Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary (five minutes’ drive), where rescue alpacas, donkeys and goats join the stately Shire horses for cuddling and petting duty. You might also be lucky enough to spot grey seals on the sand spit at Blakeney National Nature Reserve (25 minutes), where you can also wander around the salt marshes looking for snipe, warblers and terns. Once a fishing village, coastal Sheringham (five minutes’ drive) has lots of indie shops to browse, along with a pebble beach with rock-pooling potential when the tide is out. Cromer (10 minutes) beckons with a long sandy sward, shows at the Pavilion Theatre on its Victorian pier and an artwork from Banksy’s ‘Great British Spraycation’ installation on one of the sea walls.
