  • Simple riverside touring pitches by a mill in Wainfleet All Saints
  • A 10-minute drive from Skegness; 20 minutes from Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Pre-booked discounted brewery tours available
Pitching up where your pints are made – with pubs and brewery tours on hand too? If you’ve raised a glass to that fine idea, make tracks to Batemans Brewery Campsite, in the village of Wainfleet All Saints. There’s much here to appeal to beer fans, of course – you can see how the ales are created in the brewery, then take a five-minute stroll to sample the results in the local pub alongside your dinner. There’s another fine pub five minutes’ drive away in the village of Croft too if you fancy mixing things up a bit, and a small supermarket a few minutes' walk away for picking up any supplies you may need. It’s not all about beer around here though – this is a super spot in a lovely Lincolnshire location, with a river running alongside and an old windmill giving the place a sense of heritage. Days out visiting the likes of Skegness, Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, Gunby Hall and the Lincolnshire Wolds are all easy to get to as well (all of the aforementioned are within a 20-minute drive). A toilet and shower block is available next to the site in the parking area. It is locked and only to be used by guests on site; you'll be given a code by the site. Please note that the camping area is car-free; a separate parking area is available a short distance from the pitches. As this is a working brewery, early starts are possible. This site is not staffed.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Well where do I start, by saying we stayed at batemans brewery campsite may day bank holpday . Batemans is the best campsite we have ever been to . From Claudia's information email to our pitch ,I cannot say enough great things about the site ,as a working brewery we personally did not hear any noises .Would recommend the brewery tour excellent. The site and shower block was modern and clean . We genuinely felt at home and will return very very soon .As for the area well if I could I would move to Wainfleet i would in a heart beat . Approx 5 to 7 minute walk away is a train station to skeg or Boston and 2 pubs the wool pack do Fantastic food during the week ,and the angel and peacock do a brilliant carvery on a Sunday, as as for the angel we'll what a great family friendly pub that is .the landlady toni and her family are a credit to the town . Back to batemans campsite we met Neil and his wife ,who live at the site and Neil is an employee of the brewery I had a lovely chat with the pair and they gave me lots of valuable information about the brewery and Wainfleet. My husband and I cannot wait to go back ,we have tried to book for next bank holiday and to my disappointment not surprising they fully booked up . See you soon batemans kate and darren richardson ( clients for life ).

Disliked: Other campers leaving there vehicles at side of there pitch (which is against the rules) and other campers leaving all the shower and toilet block unlocked .

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The site was clean including the toilet/shower blocks. The pitch was in a pretty little setting and not far from Skegness attractions. It was straight forward to find the pitch and we had plenty of space even with someone else pitched either side of us.

Disliked: The noisy peacock from a neighbouring property. No fault of the site but the bird was vocal throughout the day and night. Ear plugs help if sleeping in a tent or awning! Also no pot wash area but we managed with water & kettle.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Lovely site, shower block always warm, all the facilities work well. A bit of constructive advice, the shower curtains allow the water to escape the cubical leaving a large puddle which isn't good for the long term condition of the floor. Either lower them or replace with a screen

Local attractions

While enjoying the present moment is lovely, a little bit of the past can liven up your holiday even more. That certainly rings true at the National Trust’s Gunby Hall and Gardens (15 minutes), where there's a country house of old, or the Bubblecar Museum (35 minutes), where it's possible to join in on ride days in historic microcars. Another way to get around, there’s a horse riding centre (25 minutes) within driving distance of the site too. There are rare-breed horses at the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre (15 minutes) - just call in to meet all the residents. And for more animals, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (10 minutes) or Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (15 minutes) could be another port of call (binoculars are a handy accomplice for this second one). While the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes) delivers when it comes to natural beauty and walks galore, it’s in Skegness (10 minutes) that the beach, aquarium and seal sanctuary take the spotlight. There’s all the activity of the rides at the Fantasy Island theme park (20 minutes) too, a good one for the kids in your group.
