Fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked: Location of site and the pitches. The food and entertainment was also very good.

Disliked: The toilets were often in a bad state. Unfortunately it was the one main reason we would think about not returning which is a great shame as everything else was so nice

Unpowered grass tent or caravan site

Liked: On site facilities. Friendly staff and cleanliness throughout.

Disliked: Isolation of non electric tent pitches. Also more lighting around that area would help.

Powered grass tent or caravan site

Liked: Great site, clean and tidy. Close to everything including shop, entertainment, restaurant and toilet/shower block. The electrical hook up was too far away, however staff were accommodating to support with this, and it was resolved. Staff on site on arrival to ensure everything is all ok. And regular checks if you have any worried. Toilets/showers were clean, tidy and presentable.

Disliked: Could do with a few more electrical hook ups, but not a massive issue and staff resolved the issue 😊

Liked: Very clean toilets and showers Good entertainment Reasonable priced food and drinks Well priced shop Better pitch on the touring site which we were given due to water logging

Disliked: Pitch wasn't available due to waterlogging which was nobodies fault but wasn't solved till we had been on site for 30mins even though they knew it was logged in the morning. The first pitch we were offered wasn't flat so had to request another one as they were for touring not tents. Pitch covered in goose poo, again not anyone's fault but when we asked if they had any bags etc so we could remove it, we were told no you will have to go to the shop to buy some. Traffic noise was very loud from about 5am Entertainment went on till 12 which was great unless you wanted to go to bed then all you could hear was the bass. No control over noise after a certain time, 11.45 at night is a tad late for kids to be running around.

Liked: There was plenty to do for the kids, the park and the arcade was out sons favorite. I liked that the resort has its own restaurant and bar and the resort bout a 10 minute drive from the beach. The toilets was nice and clean and the showers was warm

Disliked: Lots of puddles and mud, think they need to look into resolving this issue

Local attractions

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness and other Lincolnshire lovelies are all close by for the coastal connoisseurs; and market towns, villages and the Lincolnshire Wolds easy to get to inland. At Mablethorpe, many visitors wander through the dunes to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, home of many a brightly-coloured bird, birds of prey, primates, reptiles and roguish-looking meerkats as well as the seals. Kids and big kids will probably also like Mablethorpe's miniature railway, boating lake and funfair; fans of the latter should add in Ingoldmells, home of Fantasy Island theme park. This is also a cracking area for nature: more seals can be seen at the popular Donna Nook National Nature Reserve down the coast between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet, and a huge nature reserve teeming with squawking seabirds is at Gibraltar Point near Skegness. Also nearby, bob about in boats or cast off again at the waters of the Lincolnshire Wolds, alongside many miles of trails and bridleways to walk, cycle or horse ride, or bob around Lincolnshire's market towns: recommended options include Alford, Louth and Lincoln.
