  • Quiet, family-run site two miles from the beach at Broad Haven
  • Close to activities in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • Within easy reach of St Davids Cathedral and Pembrokeshire Coast Path
Stunning landscapes, spectacular beaches and scenic walking routes… Try out this tantalising recipe for relaxation at Creampots Touring Caravan and Camping Park, a peaceful family-run site 15 minutes from the town of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire. Creampots is on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, so there’s great rambling around here – the area has more than 200 circular walks spread over nearly 600 miles of public footpaths and bridleways, meaning you’ll have your choice of routes, and you can pick up the Pembrokeshire Coast Path in Broad Haven, less than two miles from the site. If walking’s not your thing, the national park is also a top spot for horse riding, scuba diving and coasteering, or you could plonk yourself down on the beach and refuse to leave until you’re fully relaxed. Back on site, there’s plenty to keep your de-stressing going – there’s a launderette with washing machine and tumble dryer, a washing-up area and an amenities block with toilets, free hot showers and disabled access, so you needn’t fret about dirty clothes, dirty dishes or dirty people piling up. When it comes time to satisfy hungers, fire up the barbecue and pile it high with supplies from the nearby Broad Haven or treat yourself to an evening out at one of the many restaurants within 20 minutes’ drive of the site.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Nice clean site, about a 15 minutes cycle to beach down some quite sterp hills. Free WiFi. Showers and cleaning facilities all of good standard and kept clean.

Disliked: Not much around. Trip was let down by incredible poor communications. A hour and a half before check out time we were given 10 minutes to pack up and leave or we were told we would be stuck in the site for up to 8 hours, as they were moving static vans around. When we tried to speak to the company moving the vans they were aggressive. The manager/owner of site didn't seem to care.

Disliked: Nightmare with last day. Given 10 minutes notice that they were removing a static van and that if we didn't keave in 10 minutes we would be stuck in site for the whole day. How they could not of given us more warning is unbelievable.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: I was greeted by Owen on my arrival who explained all that was needed to know , fresh water locations around the site etc & a bonus there is a strong site Wifi link available to guests. CreamPots touring site is probably one of the best touring sites I’ve ever stayed on, very generous gravel hard standing pitches for both car & caravan or motorhome & grass for tents. On the site there is male & female shower & toilet blocks which have a modern feel & very clean & tidy, the showers were warm every day, there is a hand & hair drier if required. To the rear of the facilities is a laundry room for those who travel light. There are power poles local to your pitch & grey water & toilet cassette emptying points. All in all a very well maintained site. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a campsite to holiday in Pembrokeshire. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Disliked: Nothing to dislike here. Owen is always contactable either on or off site.

Local attractions

The spectacular beaches may be one of the big draws of the Pembrokeshire coastline, but there’s much more to do by the sea than sunbathing and sandcastle building: take to the waters off Broad Haven for windsurfing and kayaking or, if you’re feeling less active, head 20 minutes south-west to Skomer Island, where you can spy seals and puffins and see the wildflowers bloom. There are plenty of historic sites nearby that should help you find your footing in the past. Start with a trip to the stunning 6th-century St Davids Cathedral, a 35-minute drive from the site, then learn about trade in the early 16th-century at the Tudor Merchant’s House in Tenby and wander the remains of the 13th-century Cilgerran Castle, both within an hour of Creampots. If the kids are tiring of beachside living or historic buildings, there’s loads within easy reach to keep them entertained – visit the local and exotic animals at Manor Wildlife Park, explore the zoo and fairground at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, then get the adrenaline pumping on the rollercoasters at Oakwood Theme Park, all within half an hour of the site.
