  • Well-maintained Cornwall countryside site a mile from Stithians
  • Gyllyngvase beach, Stithians Lake and Flambards within 15 mins' drive
  • Spacious, scenic pitches with access to play area and dog walk area
Cornwall’s countryside and coast will both be in your sights when you stay at Green Land Views Camping, a well-maintained site about a mile outside of the village of Stithians. The views are indeed green here – pitches all have sweeping views over a lovely slice of rural Cornwall and there’s plenty of space from which to look out over the landscape. The site owners have chosen to keep their place fairly natural, but all the essential amenities are in place, including flushing toilets, a hot shower and a washing-up area. All members of the family are catered for here, with a baby-changing facility, a play area and a dog-walking area. It’s likely you’ll feel nicely secluded on site here, but in fact there are plenty of handy things around – both Stithians and another nearby village, Ponsanooth, have shops and pubs so you’ll be able to eat out or pick up supplies for the barbecue that’s provided back at base. Falmouth and Truro are both within a 20-minute drive too for a bit more choice (and a couple of nice days out as well). Days out? Well, you may need to be here for quite a while to exhaust all the options – there are beaches galore, coastal walks around the Lizard Peninsula, watersports and climbing, gorgeous gardens, family-friendly amusement parks – and you can even get to Land’s End with a drive of about an hour…

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: A lovely little campsite, basic amenities hut has good running hot waters and functioning toilets however, it’s out in the sticks, peaceful and the views are stunning. The campsite has been establish since just before Covid lockdown and the owners have had difficulties keeping it open due to lockdown rules but have persevered. Well kept site very friendly owner and very helpful. A small location business that’s growing. Give the site your support, I would stay there again. Very comfortable stay for 2 nights. Thanks Wende.

Local attractions

You could fill many a day simply with beach time around here, whether you head south to Gyllyngvase (15 minutes’ drive) and Praa Sands (half an hour) or north to the likes of Perranporth and Gwithian (both half an hour). The Lizard Peninsula is always worth a visit too – this scenic area is packed with lovely places like Coverack (35 minutes) and Kynance Cove (40 minutes). There are lots of places for surfing and other watersports along the coast, but you don’t need to stray that far for activity – Stithians Lake (15 minutes) has all sorts of watersports including paddleboarding, canoeing and windsurfing, plus fishing areas. Dry-land activities are close by too, at Via Ferrata Cornwall (10 minutes) or the horse riding centre in Bosvathick (15 minutes). For more active days out, try Flambards Theme Park (15 minutes) or the soft play and laser tag at Raze the Roof (10 minutes). Time to dial down the pace a little? How about a ride on the Helston Railway (20 minutes) or a day strolling around either Trebah Garden or Glendurgan Garden (both 20 minutes)?
