Traditional village pub (added by manager 01 Jul 2019)
Pitches up high so great views

Spacious serviced pitches

  • Small site in the grounds of a Callow End traditional village pub
  • A 15-minute drive from the Malvern Hills and Worcester
  • Large beer garden with outdoor tables, play area and chickens
For those couples/travelling parties that frequently face disagreement over whose turn it is to be designated driver, there’s really only one sensible solution: bed down right there at the pub. Dozing off at the bar might be considered a little unseemly, so The Old Bush’s owners Matt and Karen have come up with a better solution and set up pitches in the garden area behind their rural Worcestershire pub. Thus guests can partake of dinners accompanied by a few local ales/ciders before strolling home (to a peaceful corner with drinking water, showers and 24-hour toilets) in just a couple of minutes – how civilised. In fact, the whole setup here is rather civilised: The Old Bush is a traditional country pub in the little village of Callow End, with food available at lunch and dinner times, plus a menu of mini meals for smaller guests. On warmer days the merriment spills out into the garden, where there’s a play area, an aviary and a little flock of chickens along with plenty of tables for open-air drinking, dining and admiring the views over the Malvern hills. Of course, one can’t sit around in the pub all day (well, maybe not every day, anyway…), so it’s worth noting that this is also a handy location for walks, horse riding, games of golf, fishing and days out in Worcester and Malvern (both 15 minutes away by car). Handily, if you do ‘accidentally’ sup one too many at lunchtime there’s a bus stop in the village so you can still get out and about.

Liked: **A Hidden Gem in Callow End – The Old Bush Campsite and Pub** I recently had the pleasure of staying at **The Old Bush Callow End**, and it was an unforgettable experience! Nestled in a picturesque village, this site has everything you could want for a perfect getaway. The **campsite** is well-maintained with spacious, level pitches, many offering **Electric Hook-Up (EHU)**, making it ideal for both tents and caravans. The facilities are excellent, with **clean toilets and hot showers**, ensuring comfort throughout your stay. One of the highlights is the fantastic **outdoor café** area. It’s the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy some great coffee or a light bite while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. And of course, the pub – what can I say? The **Old Bush Pub** is superb. The food is delicious, offering a range of hearty meals, and the local beers are top-notch. The staff deserve a special mention for their warmth and friendly service, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. As a bonus, the site also features a **beautiful aviary** filled with stunning ornamental pheasants and other birds, adding a unique charm to the experience. Waking up to the sights and sounds of the aviary was an absolute delight! Overall, The Old Bush is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful village with great amenities, excellent food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Electric optional gravel motorhome pitch

Liked: It's a proper campsite, great toilets, even greater shower area. Just up the hill behind the pub but they've levelled the pitches so that's fine too.

Disliked: £25 felt a bit steep and another £7 for electric was steeper still considering I park behind pubs at other times for free when spending money in the pub (and we did eat and drink).

From the manager: Really sorry you felt ripped off, but we charge a fee because we maintain our site to a decent standard and offer clean facilities with hot water and electricity none of this comes without a price. best find a car park in future.

Liked: Campsite was well organised, tidy with lovely shrubs, trees and garden ornaments such as fountains. The toilets and washing up area was scrupulously clean. The welcome, friendly staff, food and service in the pub was amazing and the cafe/deli served a tasty breakfast. Lovely play area for the children in a well looked after litter free garden. It was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back.

Liked: Brilliant little site set on a hillside. Food and hospitality at the pub was fantastic with a lovely breakfast from the cafe at the bottom of the site. Farm shop had a nice selection of fresh produce at reasonable prices.

Disliked: Only downside is the steep hill the site is set on but it's also what makes it so beautiful
