  • Peaceful, no-frills pitches with rural views on a County Tyrone farm
  • Parkanaur Forest Park 10 minutes’ drive and Ranfurly House 15 minutes
  • Wildlife haven and dark skies site; pubs and shops 15 minutes’ drive
The pitches at Kerrib Farm are set in a peaceful, rural corner of County Tyrone, 15 minutes’ drive from the country town of Dungannon. They’re tucked away on a working farm where cattle and chickens are raised – you’re welcome to meet the cows; apparently they all love snacking on slices of bread – and surrounded by a patchwork of fields. The pop-up site may be basic in terms of facilities – there are no showers or toilets – but it makes a handy stopover to charge your vehicle and replenish water before setting off on your next Irish adventure, and it’s certainly blessed in terms of natural beauty. Thanks to its countryside location, the farm is a peaceful haven for wildlife, with an abundance of small birds like robins, blue tits and goldfinches as well as buzzards, peregrine falcons and red kites. The fields are also home to a warren of rabbits and elusive small mammals including pine martens and hedgehogs. While on site, rise with the larks to witness spectacular sunrises and on cloudless days watch out for colourful sunsets. The whole area also has minimal light pollution, so stargazing is a magical experience on clear nights – all this and yet you’re only around 10 minutes’ drive from shopping and dining options in Pomeroy and Donaghmore.

Gloria powered cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked: Really nice quiet setting with friendly hosts and their 2 super friendly dogs, 2 goats and chickens. The hard standing was nice and flat with an electric hook up. The website states there are no toilets or showers but there is a newly built (very clean) shower room and toilet on site. Overall, very good value for money and would definitely stay again.

Disliked: Access to the pitch would be tight in a motorhome - I have a lwb van an had to shunt a couple of times. With it being a farm, there are alot of flies about. I would advise a screen in your van.

Gloria powered cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked: This is a young site with great potential. This is a working farm, Kevin and Vickie are excellent hosts, Kevin introduced us to his cows and we fed them bread. There is now a shower and toilet installed. The drive down is a little tight we have a 7 meter Long, 2.3 meter wide motorhome and we did have to breath in driving down the lane. The drive out is easier as you use a different exit which would be tricky driving in as there is no turning point The hardstanding is a little tight, we didn't have enough room to level up. There is a tree and and drop off which made it a little tricky, Kevin said he would fill this in and trim the tree. The site is lovely and quiet and you can buy fresh eggs. We'd definitely go back and hopefully the little snags will be looked at.

Disliked: The flies
