Primitive grass campsite (pet friendly)

Liked: Great communication from owners followed y a super friendly welcome when we arrived. Helpful literature which made expectations around regs clear. Lovely peaceful pitch, fab facilities snd the bar with a log burning stove was the icing on the cake. Wood walks, pretty lake, pitch and putt along with reasonably priced food vans made this a site in a million.

Disliked: Nothing - we will definitely be back.

FHU cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked: The site was very well organised and set out, with large, level pitches, nice views and woodland / lake surroundings to enjoy. Lots of peace snd quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The shop, bar and nightly food vans were excellent. Toilet / shower blocks were outstanding, very clean and modern with 'proper' showers. Loved everything about this site and we will be back.

Liked: Lovely site great staff and a good bar and choice of food and the toilets and showers were very clean and new

Disliked: Dogs - so many dogs when one barked they all had a go

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We are a dog friendly site, but we do ask for well behaved dogs and ask customers to be respectful. I am sorry if you had a noise issue. Hope this didn't spoil your stay,

Great facilities but pitches small.

Primitive grass campsite (pet friendly)

Liked: Great facilities. The bar and food trucks work well. Showers/toilets were always clean.

Disliked: A lot of the pitches are very small. We have a medium sized family tent and had to ask for a different pitch as it wouldn't fit.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for the top score and lovely review. The smallest pitch we have on the park is 10 metres square so that is big enough for a caravan and awning and a car space, so I am very surprised to read you could not get your medium tent on it. Maybe your tent was longer than 10 metres? Anyway, I am glad we got you on a bigger pitch that suited you. Many thanks again.

FHU cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked: Clean site with good amenities. Showers and washing facilities good. Hot water went down in Showers one night but problem was promptly fixed the following day so good service.

Disliked: Nothing really but Montys Bar could have stayed open later rather than closing at 8.00pm.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Peter, Thank you for your kind 10/10 rating. I'm pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay with us. Monty's Bar closes at 8pm as we are a tranquil park and need to respect the peace that people expect when staying with us, however, it's good to see you enjoyed all what Monty's has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you again. Thank you Bob Reception

Route directions

Some guests have issues with the site address when put into some satnav devices. Please print out these directions and follow these when you are close to the site to ensure you find the site easily. From the north or east: From the M3, take J14 onto the M27 westbound and join the A31 (signposted Ringwood). Pass Ringwood; stay on the A31 to St. Leonards and pass St. Leonards Hotel on left. At the next roundabout (signed Boundary Lane), turn right into the site lane. Take care: this turn is set back from the roundabout by a few yards, so look for the site sign and one for Shamba. From the west: Follow the signs for Ringwood on the A31 eastbound. Pass The Woodman pub on your left. At the next roundabout go straight over and immediately left into the site lane. Drive straight down the lane, pass Shamba and go through the twin towers to the site barrier. When you arrive at the barrier system press the button for attention.
