Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Scruffy site, disappointing location, no view, road too busy to walk on and therefore nowhere to go, stuck on site

From the manager: Oh dear what a shame you didn’t go to the footpaths which surround the site and walk the lovely countryside. We also have working areas and non working areas on our basic camp site.
Beautiful scenic site with fantastic views!

Liked: Beautiful scenery (fantastic to watch the sunrise in the morning) lovely spacious pitches with a picnic bench included which is a fantastic touch. Facilities were basic but perfectly clean with nothing to fault. Checking in was easy as the staff were lovely and helpful!
Disliked: Nothing!!

Liked: Location, fair price, new sanitary block being built.
Disliked: There is a site warden (apparently) but I never saw him. He clearly never cleans looking at the state of the old sanitary block. I did clear the drain myself though.

Liked: The site has a toilet block and washing up area. Electric is available on pitches but need £1 coins to pay for it. There is a wooded area for the kids to play. Lovely pub 10min drive from site and near to British Motor Museum
Disliked: Nothing, it was a basic site as described but did the job.

Liked: Ok to find and clearly marked from the road. Pitch was relatively flat.
Disliked: Arrived at the time we had stated, there was no one to tell us where our pitch was. Rang Michelle to ask her what to do. She left a message the following morning so we just picked a pitch. There was 3 toilets, one had a sink. Two sinks where outside. All 3 toilets were awful. We assumed there was showers, there was none.

Liked: Location was great and the pitch sizes were good! Really nice site for back to basics camping and the new shower block looks great.
Disliked: Some of the pitches had a slight slope but very minor and nothing can be done about that.

Liked: The peacefulness and spacious pitches.
Disliked: The facilities were very basic and I’m glad I only stayed for one night and could give the shower a miss. There was also a large wasp nest which meant that there were lots of wasps around the tent and my daughter did get stung.

Tatty and unloved. Clutter in communal areas

Liked: Lots of space. Good views very close by.
Disliked: Toilets and showers were not ok. One toilet didn't have a toilet seat ( older bank of toilets). Only dad had a shower (with his flip flops on). Most things were generally tatty. They were painting the new shower block while we were there so might be better in future. But just cleaning the toilets and showers wouldn't go a miss- the floors and walls looked like they had not been cleaned since 2020. Maybe get a skip and chuck the old BBQ area sign, general mess and clutter on the communal areas, do some weeding of flower beds and it would be miles better.
