Powered grass tent campsite

Liked: Really quiet and friendly site. Amenities were very clean and loved the way the pitches were marked out with the grass. Pitches great size too. Husband loved that there were 2 pubs within walking distance! Really great site and are booking up to come again. We also went to visit a sister site (pearl lake) and had a great meal there too. Plenty to do within a short drive. Recomend hampton court castle and gardens. Will definitly be back!

Disliked: Nothing

FHU gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked: Beautiful well-kept and spacious park with friendly and helpful staff. Short walk into the attractive village of Eardisland - very scenic but with few amenities. Great for dog-walking, with plenty of green areas for dogs on leads and a secure area for some off-lead running.

Disliked: Not a dislike as such - the shower block was very clean and tidy, but fairly minimal - only three shower cubicles for ladies, and not the most spacious or well-appointed. Push- button showers with preset temperature that I found too hot, as was the hairdryer. Adequate but not impressive.

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked: Site has spotless and excellent facilities, lovely staff, a lovely village metres away, a great pub 5 mins away (Cross Inn) and pitches are OK (electric hardstanding).

Disliked: They don't collect grass clipping which traipses them in awning if wet from rain or dew - very messy. Noise from circling planes / helicopters from local airfield can be annoying. They could do with a tap/gray water point closer to pitches C1/D2 (that's closer to reception than any other) but it's not a big deal.

Local attractions

Taking gentle strolls is a top way to spend your time while staying at this prime park. Wander to Eardisland Castle (10 minutes’ walk) to mosey around a motte circled by a moat or amble by the river to the attractive village of Pembridge (an hour). Other top settlements in the area include the market town of Leominster (10 minutes’ drive) – dawdle around the half-timbered buildings and museums here or get in a round of golf at one of the two local courses. Rather roam without a club in hand? Navigate your way towards some of the handsome mansions in this part of the country, including the National Trust’s Croft Castle and Parkland (15 minutes), Berrington Hall (20 minutes) and Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum (20 minutes). More days out and about are to be had at the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre (20 minutes), a fab place to head towards if you haven’t managed to spot any creatures down by the riverbanks at the site.
