A holiday at this family-friendly site a five-minute drive from the shores of Lake Garda will likely make any parent something of a holiday hero in the eyes of their kids. Why is that, you ask? It’s all about the location: Agricamping Garda Di Vino sits a mere 10-minute walk from the attractions and thrill rides of Gardaland theme park. If its location between a swimming lake and an amusement park wasn’t enough to commend it, this pristine site surrounded by vineyards also has a 1.50m swimming pool with deckchairs and umbrellas for the exclusive use of its guests. Need more? How do you like the sound of an on-site shop selling locally produced wines? You can make a toast to the start of your holidays with a glass of Prosecco (or Soave, or Pinot Grigio…). Dogs are welcome on site, and there are plenty of pleasant walks in the vicinity (your four-legged friend will be especially grateful for the ones skirting the lake shore), as well as mountain-biking trails going through small medieval villages and vineyards, not forgetting watersports on the lake, including paddleboarding and windsurfing. There’s ample free parking for guests (with independent entry and exit via a code), and the site is equipped with showers and toilet blocks. Barbecues are allowed, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in Peschiera del Garda (10 minutes’ drive) and Lazise (15 minutes).

Liked: Es liegt 2Gehminuten vom Gardaland entfernt. Die Ausstattung ist gut, man hat alles was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt in den Zimmern und der Anlage. Einkauf Märkte 2Autominuten entfernt. Ich kann die Anlage empfehlen, wir werden sicher wieder kommen.

Disliked: Leider diesjahr Baulärm, der Veranstalter war diesbezüglich sehr entgegenkommend.

Liked: Clean and well maintained site Excellent washing and toilet facilities Convenient location for Gardaland Fabulous swimming pool Next to a busy main road but not noisy at all Friendly staff Good for short stay

Disliked: Our pitch (Number 5) was right next to the motor home waste disposal area. Not very pleasant having people disposing of their waste whilst making your meals. This would have been better situated away from the pitches.

Liked: Het warme ontvangst op de camping en het prachtige zwembad. Het sanitair is netjes en schoon. De eigenaar denkt goed mee met de gasten, zoals advies in restaurants of bootverhuur. Rustige camping, ondanks de drukke omgeving van het Gardameer.

Disliked: Geen minpunten! Helemaal tevreden.

Liked: Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden. Die Stellplätze waren sehr gut und es war nicht voll oder laut. Duschen und WC waren Top und sehr sauber 👍 Gardaland direkt gegenüber und Lazise auch nicht weit weg

Disliked: Nur die Baustelle nebenan aber dafür kann ja keiner was

Liked: Lovely pool and never too busy as only 8 pitches on the site. Good toilet/shower block - (kept clean but no soap in dispensers) Good waste management facilities at bottom of site.

Disliked: Signage could be a LOT better to the entrance that had to be used after 7pm. There are two sites next to each other with practically the same name so was very confusing and ended up on the wrong site and then had to pay €28 to get out the next morning! Also, our booking had been missed by the campsite staff, not the news we wanted to hear after a 1000k journey! Christiano did his best to sort it out though. Pitches are on the small side

Local attractions

The kids might love Gardaland, but adults are more likely to make a beeline for Parco Termale del Garda (10 minutes’ drive), where they can soak in waters kept at a balmy 33ºC. Surrounded by lush vegetation and rare trees, this natural spa centre also has treatments like salt scrubs and massages (advance booking is required). The city of Verona (35 minutes) draws you in with a wealth of architecture, culture and art. The jewel in its crown is the well-preserved Roman arena, where you can walk the sands like an ancient gladiator or catch an open-air performance of your favourite opera. Also worth a look is Juliet’s House, complete with the balcony from where Shakespeare’s heroine bid goodnight to her Romeo. Stretching into Lake Garda from the south shore, Sirmione (35 minutes) also has thermal baths and lively beaches, plus the rather large Grotte di Catullo archeological site, where the ruins of a first-century Roman villa are surrounded by an olive grove.
