Great location for Porthleven. A bit exposed and a bit of a hilly site

Liked: Lovely location with gorgeous views, great access to Porthleven , friendly staff, clean facilities.
Disliked: It was a hilly site which meant that you're camping on a varying degree of slope in a lot of places. It's also quite exposed so a bit blowy, but it wasn't too bad.

Liked: Lovely large fields, we stayed in the bottom one with lovely views on the valley. Proper flushing toilet and the cubical was clean. We borrowed a fire pit (thank you), as they have a few free to loan. Walking distance to Porthleven we wiggled through the houses as the main road does have pavements all the way there ( a bit of fun following google maps) flexible check in and check out as I work/live in Penzance which is nice as we can dart off camping after work. Lovely site with clean amenities and a flushing toilet? What more do you need that you can't take yourself. We like it that much we are going again this weekend <3

Liked: Quiet, spacious, so dog friendly, lovely facilities, sea view, great value for money.
Disliked: Bull-baiting breeds arrived twice on camp (leashed but disallowed at Treza according to policy) which made us feel tension about our dog and added stress to an an otherwise perfect stay.

Liked: Mown sections in the grass to reduce chances of people pitching up on top of you. The peace and quiet and the views were incredible. Showers were lovely and hot. Very clean.
Disliked: Manure smell by the toilets but you couldn't smell it elsewhere. Site rules listed as dogs on leads which was one of the reasons for booking but then the managers own dog was running around and going up to people/other dogs so felt like we had to be on guard all the time for our nervous dog. Could see out of the toilet door which made you wonder if people could see in.

Liked: The view. The town. The central location for visiting the area. The staff are present regularly, pleasant to chat with and attentive. You can here the waves crashing on the beach down in the town when it's high tide. A helpful tide indicator.
Disliked: The hot water is only tepid. The washing up area is uncovered. The site is very windy.

Liked: My landlady gave me the most wonderful welcome. Tea, chair, nice conversation. And to top it all, because it was about to rain in the night, she offered me her office to sleep in with full use of everything that was there. I slept very well. The next morning she took me in her jeep down to where the Path began, saving me kilometers on hard road. The campsite was high up with a wonderful view. Good shower and toilet facilities, and a wonderful sunset. The best!
Disliked: Nothing to dislike
